| I have long desired to make some clay figures myself, and Mao is undoubtedly a perfect model. Let's start with the easy one -- Fujiko Mine (峰 不二子) | |

| Well, as a Mao fan we shall never forget that fantastical kiss, ... ... and that remarkable scene: OH OH OH, that's for fun of course! The couples are ten thousand times more handsome. Personally, I prefer the graceful and lyrical Mao. How about the soft and elegant Liebesträume? Or this one (in progress)? | |

| I'd buy them, too! These are all so great! I'm jealous of your cell phone I especially love the Ballade one. Looks like it'll be so pretty. | |

| To chiyori: IMO, Mao's excellent posture and fingertips position have become one of her many trademarks! This is why I particularly wish to make as detailed as I can for Mao figures as she has perfect hands and position indeed. To Cloviece & bellarina: I don't have any online shop or ebay account, and yet your compliments raise me up! Thanks so much! Perhaps shall I consider opening one? I used AMOS i-clay to make the figures. This youtube video introduces i-clay and illustrates its features and application ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfRHNe67U3g). I-clay is so convenient that the making of Mao figures had unexpectedly brought me so much fun! Dear Cloviece, please do make some figures and share them with us too! I'm really looking forward to it. Actually I was making Fantaisie-Impromptu by Chopin -- I am so fond of this amazing programme (all versions)! And yes, I did once think about switching this to Ballade because of that wonderfully light white dress. I can assure you that I will try making a Ballade figure once I develop a better skill.

| I love them all, but especially that last one! Those little hands must be so hard to model at that size, but you still manage to make them look graceful. Awesome work! | |

| Oh my Gosh, kitty this is just amazing! I admire people who can do such things. I like the Fantaisie-Impromptu by Chopin Mao the most. | |

| kaarolcia & illani: Thanks! To me it's not easy making them (regardless of size), but I'm happy when I finish it. The hands are tricky, though it wasn't as hard as I had imaged. I-clay is really handy especially for beginners like me. I do enjoy indulging myself in appreciating Mao fan's artworks. Many are awesome and beautiful! shikure: Liebesträume on my friend's cell phone: Hmm, if you steal... or I'd say take... my cell phone unintentionally I'd gladly offer you a fast trade price of a grand (LOL). I wonder if Mao would like this. I'm not confident to send her something unpolished, yet your suggestion is a bright idea. Eris: Me too! I admire Russian's brilliant idea in turning a chessboard into a collectable item! Very beautiful! | |

| Thank you so much Kitty. I've never actually heard of AMOS I-Clay although from the commercials it looks so familiar. It also in a way reminds me of Crayola's air dry Model Magic (which isn't exactly clay but a modeling compound I believe), because it looks so soft. Thus, I'm guessing it's some sort of synthetic clay similar to MM.
As for creating one of these, I'll certainly try to when I have some free time. I haven't done any sculpting or pottery in a very long time, as my strong suit is more 2D (sketching and painting). Maybe I'll get my mom to make one of these since she's an artist. But the details! Amazing. Especially Taka's expression. And the Liebestraume cell phone charm looks absolutely beautiful against the white.
And I need that chessboard in my life. It's beautiful.

| shikure: DEAL! Congratulations! You can have my cell phone for a grand. btw the charm is pre-owned. (Joking)
Yet you are much wiser to defer your purchase until the day when you see that on the street. By that time you'll have a very good bargain as USD is devaluing, not to mention the potential impact after the launch of QE3... (No joking, seriously >_<)
I'm quite sure I'll be well taken care of by the bodyguards before I have the chance to show Mao that in person. XP LOL
And thanks for telling me about Mao vs "hinaningyo"(雛人形) in the other thread. I can hardly explain my surprise when I tried to model her face and realized that she got a perfect typical Jap doll face! btw isn't it lovely to open a new topic about Haruka? Haruka does bear some comparison with Chiyo (young Sayuri) IMO. What a natural beauty.
*** Cloviece: You are so great! Oh, I must be blessed. I am now getting excited and couldn't wait to see your work!
And you are right. Given its softness and extreme light weight (with barely no real clay in it?), I do believe that AMOS i-clay is sort of synthetic clay after my preliminary research on the internet.
If you don't mind, may I take this opportunity to seek your advice? I am now in search of an appropriate water-proof coating for this type of clay, and I'll very much appreciate it if you can kindly shed me some light.
As for the chessboards, I guess a tourist will have no difficulty in finding them nicely displayed in department stores and souvenir shops in Spb or Moscow. ^o^ In addition, those Russian amber chessboards are exquisite too! What an unique souvenir along with matryoshka, caviar, & vodka.

| See hope in life, as we see hope in Mao.With COR approaching, I found myself gradually intrigued with Mao's Scheherazade. What a pity that I couldn't watch it online this weekend as I'll be out of town. So I endeavour to make a Mao charm out of i-clay. When I saw this "amulet", I was amused to see peace and hope from this pose. I felt blessed as I can still watch Mao -- sooner or later! I just love to share it with you and let us all cheer for Mao. Hope we can all see her again in GPF too! | |

Didn't see this until now - sorry kitty! I hope you do consider opening one - if you ship to the US, I would definitely buy one (and probably more)! LOVE the new one. It's so intricate and pretty! Keep up the great work
