latest interview done by 2/28 see the height of 3A !!! and I want the jacket for Sochi look like 3A became first jump of FS
ps. just seeing Taka on ice made me feeling relief too...didn't see him skating for 3 month
Holly cow that was high! Is it just me or are both of her 3A two footed? I'm not sure about the first one it was so fast , but the second one is for sure. Yes it is. After 4CC free skate she said she's convinced that 3A should be her opening jump.

| That 3A (the last one, I mean) is the best I've ever seen her landing I think! Last year we didn't know what to think about her 3As, because we never saw her landing a clean one right before Worlds, but this year she's landed it in competition and she's landing 3As in training, so... Let's hope! | |

| I think her 3A isn't as high as 2009-2010 but it covers much more ice and the landing looks much more clear and secure (and from what I've seen from the clips, she doesn't UR more than 1/4 so she should get full credit).

Maybe we can do something for her before Olys? Sending her messages of encouragement along with fan art or poems like whiteboots wrote towards Olys in a DVD might be nice...anyone interested?
I like the sound of that! Maybe after Worlds is over we can talk it over in FB group and present our ideas here in the forum!

| I know linglang has already posted and translated this interview vid in another thread, but my translations I did for the FB group is a bit more different and may be a bit more detailed too so plz read if you like. Mao interview...mostly about personal stuff... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3VGDSH2S0gQ:How do you think you did this season? A:As a result, I think it went well overall. Q:What do you want to do if you can spend a whole day freely? A:Go shopping or...go eat in smorgasbord style...I did that already this morning though. Q:Did you eat alot? Lots of bread? A:I only ate one loaf of bread, but there were Western and Jpnse dishes so I ate both. Q:If you were not a figure skater, what do you think you would be doing now? A:Hmmm...since I like gymnastics, maybe I might've been doing that. Q:But you're so cute so you could've been an idol(singer) or a model... A:No, not at all...I've always liked moving my body, running, jumping over jumping boxes (something like a vaulting horse used in Jpn), trampolines...doing stuff like that more. Q:You didn't have interest in becoming and idol or something at all? A:Hmmm...(no) but when I was in elementary school, '*Morning Musume' was extremely popular, so I danced to their music with Mai sometimes. I do go to Karaoke. Q:What kind of person is the man of your dreams? A:Someone very kind...and who can cook. Some one who can teach me lots of things. Q:So, someone maybe a bit older than you? A:Yes, I'd like someone older than me for sure. Q:What are your goals in the future? A:Yes. Next season will be the most important season for Sochi Olys, so I want to go on skating with the level (of contents) I have now from the very first competition. I didn't translate everything. I left out some stupid comments the interviewer had made (actually she was really meh!). Plus this time I didn't translate every single word Mao said. Jpnse members plz correct me if I made any mistranslations. But once again we know now that Mao's mind is mostly full of eating food aside from figure skating. It's not enough to grasp this gal's heart guys by just being kind; YOU GOTTA BE ABLE TO FEED HER! Maozuka shippers, I advise you all to inform Taka about this fact and persuade him to start taking cooking lessons, hehe! I kind of thought though that maybe Mao was imaging her father when she was talking about the man of her dreams...I mean, who's been doing most of the cooking after Mao's mother passed away in the Asada family? Mao and Mai have lots to do so their father might be helping them out sometimes. *Morning Musume is an idol singer group with lots of girls in them...not as many as AKB48 but anyway lots of em! I was impressed that Mao actually called them 'Morning Musume-san'...almost nobody puts 'san' after an idol group's name. Polite as always. ♥ I'm glad Mao has started talking about food after Worlds. When she in the mood to talk about food it means she's happy, and definitely ON! | |

| To illustrate this interview, here's a photo from Nana Takeda's blog, where you can see little Mao dancing to morning musume. ameblo.jp/takeda-nana/image-11286584188-12046594944.html | |

Mao is so pretty in Mary Poppin's costume. I now find out more of mao-related forums in facebook and Youtube. Thanks. I had tried to find her official fan club(?) on the web, and had no way to find which one.
It is really good that fans already send music CD to her official Agency: IMG. Lyrical, cheerful and brighter music better suit her like Poppins.

| Mao updated her blog http://maimao-asada.com/mao/about-game/2013/03/21/510/Thank you so much for your support at worlds My performances were not the greatest ones though, I think I was able to deliver what I’ve been doing so far as a whole. I feel I’m steadily moving up steps. When the competition was over, I was awarded the bronze medal and I was very happy because I ended up 6th in the last two seasons. But, of course, I’m not satisfied. I think I feel dissatisfied primarily because I’ve came back to the level where I can feel so. So, it’s funny mixed feeling of happiness and dissatisfaction. : -) The next world championship will be held in Japan! I’m looking forward to it! The picture is a skate boot I found at a market near the rink in London, Canada. Note: This is the same post as the one I mistakenly posted in music thread. | |

And, she's talking about Worlds next year (after Olympics), so it gives us hope that she may compete there!

Unfortunately, there is no offical Mao fan club at the moment. There are may fan sites, but none of them are official. Btw, maybe I posted this here already (can't remember...been too busy lately)? Anyway, it's cute so I'll post it again. https://twitter.com/PiperGilles/status/313392017390583808/photo/1I wish all of Mao's competition costumes in the future can be as good as most of her EX costumes. She has had so many wonderful EX costumes...I always wonder why that's not the case with her competition ones.

| Compared to other skaters, I believe mao has had just as many hits as she had misses. I think her best season for costumes was 2007-2008 and I would LOVE if she wore somthing similar to the burgundy dress from "Fantasy Impromptu" or the Blue dress from "So Deep is the Night" in any upcoming season. | |

Don't want to jinx or anything, but I think Mao didn't make her final decision yet, I guess it will depend on the Olympic season I would have her stay for about a season or so, but I'm worried about he health, so I don't really know. I'll take her every decision.
