| Polosatik may correct me if I am mistaken, but I think I read on the Russian forum that Tarasova was planning to take Maksim Kovtun to US to work on his skating skills over the summer, but with no details about where exactly and with whom they will work.
I am glad Mao will have both of her programs done in May and will have plenty of time to prepare for the new season!

(Okay, I've been thinking that it would be great if Gold could work with Zoueva. But Sleeping Beauty ) As in Zijun Li's FS music from this season? Because I thought that Zijun's was simply charming and age appropriate and after Worlds it will take one heck of a program to beat that one. :S

| I don't know. Zijun is both charming and sophisticated for her age. Maybe I just don't like Gracie's skating...but C'MON! Tchaikovsky? Please. She couldn't even march right in her damn Life is Beautiful program, had she had her life depending on it.
Rant over.
She should skate to a Disney tune. Maybe she'll get more appropriate PCS marks for it.

(Okay, I've been thinking that it would be great if Gold could work with Zoueva. But Sleeping Beauty ) I love Gracie, but Sleeping Beauty? I think her coaches should stop trying to box her into the pretty princess box and have her do something to powerful or quirky music. (I do like the idea of Zoueva choreographing her programs, though )

(Okay, I've been thinking that it would be great if Gold could work with Zoueva. But Sleeping Beauty ) Is this a joke? For God's sake Gracie is ANYTHING but a ballerina. programs like this work perfectly for Mao and I adored Zijun's Sleeping beauty, cause they're both a "ballerina" type of skater, Gracie on the other hand isn't. It's like giving Ashley a Nutcracker. I know Ash skated to a Black swan, but it worked (though not in my eyes), because she didn't go for a ballet, but for a movie story. Gracie on the other hand had difficulty portraying "Life is beautiful", how the heck is she going to pull off this ballet?! I'd love nothig more than to see Gracie kicking the living daylights out of Ashley's butt (sorry, I really don't like her), but I'm afraid it's not going to happen with this type of program. There are so many fantastic russian composers, why of all people did they choose Tchaikovsky, and a ballet at that? Well, at leat it's not Swan Lake...

Let's hope Marina stresses that muscling through ballet programs completely invalidates the entire purpose of the music. She has done amazing choreography in the past... I hope it works for Gracie! As much as I love her, I cannot STAND her lack of artistry. And I really do want to see her kick Ashley's butt because Ashley has become quite arrogant since she started being very successful. I can say that because I have seen her being... pretty rude to me in person.

I knew I wasn't imagining things when I had a feeling she's changed since 2011/2012 season, though I only got to see her on TV. WTH did she do? Usually, skaters are pretty good at hiding their arrogance around fans... This just shows, how special team Japan is. True team spirit and comradeship, not to mention being completely down to earth, despite their immense popularity.

This just shows, how special team Japan is. True team spirit and comradeship, not to mention being completely down to earth, despite their immense popularity. It was pretty obvious that I was a huge Mao fan, but I also wanted to get a picture with Ashley last year. You know, she is our national champion and she did win 4CC, and I'd heard a lot of stories about how nice she was. However, when I started walking towards her, she just gave me this huge, withering glare that I just turned around. When we were getting a picture with Mao, same thing - huge glare in our direction. It was just like - really? Max Aaron is doing Carmen. Groan. He is going to be our next Evan Lysacek. I don't care how "original" it is - Virtue/Moir did "original Carmen," and the music was still obviously very much Carmen. http://web.icenetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130521&content_id=48162418&vkey=ice_newsThis is kind of a slap in the face to Pasquale but also kind of a slap in the face to Marina. Also a huge big, good thing for Igor, that the big teams are now head-hunting him instead of the little, insignificant ones. http://web.icenetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130520&content_id=48059344&vkey=ice_news&tcid=fb_share

http://web.icenetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130520&content_id=48059344&vkey=ice_news&tcid=fb_share Ugh, I know 4CC in USA was over a year ago, but I'm still pissed that Ashley won, sorry, I just can't help myself. I don't know what to say about her behaviour towards you, I mean Mao is a huge star in figure skating, just because a competition is in your home country and you just (suspiciously, imo ) won it, it doesn't mean that you'll get more popularity than one of the two giants in this sport (the other giant being Yuna). Or maybe she just had a diva moment and is back to her normal self. It'll be interesting watching how Ashley is going to behave at The Ice. Max is doing Carmen?!!! Really?!!! Max?!!! For the love of God, he can only jump, there's nothing else there, how is going to pull this off?! I mean seriously?! WTH is Zakrajsek thinking? This is going to be worse than Evan's version. I wish ISU would forbid Carmen programs in Olympic season. And he's shooting for Oly's gold? Sweetie, you can have 10 quads in your program, you're still not going to beat Chan. (though I do have a tiny hope that Javi will somehow manage to steal the gold from everyone else ) Judges better give Max the PCS he actually deserve, not what USFSA think he should be getting. I'm really, really shocked about Pechalat/Bourzat decision, though looking at what's going on with Bobrova/Soloviev I'm not surprised. The French want that bronze medal, and the russian couple has improved tremendously under Zhulin, so Igor is their only hope for Olympic bronze. Oh man, now I don't know what to do. Before Igor got a medal contending pair, I wanted Team Zhulin to win it, but now, I also want team Igor to win. Can we have two bronze medal winners please... I adore him, and I also want to see him stick it to Marina's face. I bet she thought he's finished when she pulled that crap on him. Honestly, after Virtue/Moir, Davis/White leave do you see any top pair going to her? EVERYONE seems to be going to Igor, that's saying something. I guess, she didn't think this through very well.
