Are they all figure skaters? Yes, bibi, all five are Japanese female figure skaters. And yes, in the center is Mao and Yukari is on the left. - Teresa Dawn wrote:

| I was sure the second one was Shizuka Arakawa. And "Fumie" looked like Daisuke Takahashi to me... | |

| Actually, I now have Winter Sports 2008 and DecaSports on the wii. Figure Skating on Winter Sports is reallllllllllllllllllllly boring... you always have the same program and it drives you nowhere. But Figure Skating on DecaSports is a lot of fun!! You can do 3 different programs (Madame Butterfly, Carmen (the same as Mao did back in 2005) and Violon Concerto). | |

If I had a Wii, I would probably play Super Mario Galaxy all days long and wouldn't think about anything else. But since I am an owner of Xbox 360, I should probably show you sometime my gameplay character from Mass Effect (which is also not that bad), who looks exactly like a twin sister of Miki Ando (okay, okay, not a twin sister, but like a cousin with some army background - that's for sure).

Too bad, because the idea was nice. I watched some gameplay movies on Youtube and there were some things I liked. I watched the one with the Polish voice-over, and I liked the commentary - they explained the name of the jumps and spins and talked a bit about the history of figure skating. I learned some of the Polish names for the figure skating elements - because I watch all the competitions and shows online (I don't even have a TV set!), I know only English, Japanese and some Russian names for the moves... (I was amused by some of the terms, for example spiral = "swallow", donut spin = "cookie-like spin", camel spin = "balance spin"). But the animation was horrible (the spiral, camel & donut spin were just hideous!), the costume was a disaster (what lady would wear black boots for the competition?!) and the gameplay looked rather boring.

| These days I guess you would rather see Brian Joubert carelessly riding a yellow bike right through your neighbourhood than a decent figure skating videogame. Because due to the pretty graphics and overall standarts of quality modern games cost millions and millions of . Therefore in order to have some profits a publisher have to sell its game to a lot of people. While a decent figure skating game can't be sold to a lot of people by default. "Miki Ando" -_- | |

| OMG, I love the Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics Wii game! My siblings and I are addicted to the figure-skating event. And the funny/weird/cool thing is, in the game they have all these figure-skating dresses you can purchase, and there is one that seems to be a replica of the dress Mao wore for her 2007 Worlds SP: I also made up a Mii for Yu-Na. And no, I don't make her lose on purpose, although it is tempting Mao Mii and Yu-Na Mii compete entirely fairly in the Wii game, just like they do in real life | |
