| Well...last year, Taka also participated in a domestic competition in Hokkaido. I remember seeing in the news that the rink was packed with spectators when they heard that Taka will participate. I guess Nagoya is serious in wanting to sweep the medals this year since they are sending international level skaters Finally found the vids on Taka's part in the special entitled 氷上の系譜 ~ 日本フィギュアの挑戦 though I was not able to find Part 1 Part2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qE7mRuNpW-EPart3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=775v77EflTk | |

Part2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qE7mRuNpW-E Part3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=775v77EflTk The reason he participated the competition last year is that was club learder of Chukyo, Sano's last competition in his skating career. They wanted to let him having the last great memory. since chukyo never won the university FS championship. Taka is pretty positive about this competition now and Mura and he said they want to win this since it's first time Aichi holds this competition. He said he will try his programs here since they have done modification for his programs--> he will put quad in both SP and FS and will try twice quad in FS. ETA: haruka25, I think the part one is about the 3A history which was the part of Mao (?)

I hope Taka's quad will get more consistent or fully rotated even he falls. He doesn't have the reputation so that he can fall more than one time in a program in a competition and still get the PCS scores he deserves. Oh, and also I hope he will be injury-free since he works so hard.

Izumi Mori once called him Yuzuru...uh...these ppl There, there. I think it just means they think Taka is cute like bambi chan, aside from the fact that Kozuka sounds like Kojika lol Look how she gets all excited when Takeshi says Kozuka senshuu, and then says kawaii <3 when they saw Taka's practice clip I think Izumi can be the other evil girl in Batsuchan's fic

I think Izumi can be the other evil girl in Batsuchan's fic Honda-san's expression when Nematsu-san explained that he and Izumi call Kozuka 'Bambi-chan' was hilarious. He was like !! This is so bad, but I'm never going to be able to look at Taka-chan the same again--from now on, it will be 'Bambi-chan' for me too!!! I hope Miki heard that comment and totally teases Taka-chan with it--that would be awesome!! Like this: At the SOI Tokyo rehearsal, Miki, Mao, Dai and Taka are chatting.
"Oh, that reminds me!" Miki interrupted. "You know, when I was on that TV show with Nematsu-san and Izumi-san, they said that they have a special nickname for Taka." "For me?" Taka asked. "Really? What is it?" said Mao. Miki paused for dramatic effect, and then yelled, "BAMBI-CHAN!!!" while making a cutesy pose. "Ehh???!" Taka exclaimed, cringing. "Seriously??" Dai said. "But why is that?" Mao asked. "It was something like, because 'Kozuka' sounds like 'kojika,' and because--" Miki put her hand on top of Taka's head. "They think that Bambi-chan here is so cute~~!" she said while mussing his hair. Dai burst out laughing. "Bambi-chan, huh? That's AMAZING!" Taka jerked away from Miki. "Cut it out!" His face was all red. "Aww, Bambi-chan, why are you so upset?" Miki teased. Taka skated away in a huff.
"Wow, that's so clever!" Mao remarked. "Kozuka is like 'kojika'...I never thought of that before. I like baby deers!"
Mao went and skated after Taka, leaving Miki and Dai alone.
"So," Miki said, narrowing her eyes accusingly at Dai. "What's this I hear about you saying Mao and I are equally sexy??"THE END

Ms. Yaginuma's comments about Taka's book. I have to say, seeing that interview with Yaginuma-san and Bambi-chan ("The power of athletes") totally changed my impression of her. I used to think that she was a little cold/distant, but now I like her a lot more since I know she's close to Taka-chan. She says that it must have been tough for Taka to be coached by his father, and for a long time he really hated being compared to his dad. But in the past few years that changed, and now he doesn't mind at all. Again, I didn't realize that Taka-chan wrote the book himself!! Good for him! I may have to get a copy just to scour it for "hidden" comments about Mao! BTW, I was browsing the Japanese wiki page on Taka-chan, and it had some interesting tidbits about the connections between the Satos and the Kozukas. http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%B0%8F%E5%A1%9A%E5%B4%87%E5%BD%A6Apparently Tsuguhiko (Taka's dad)'s first coach was Nobuo-sensei's mom! And when Tsuguhiko-san went to the Olympics, he was coached by Nobuo himself! AND the reason that Taka's mom (Sachiko, I think?) started skating was because she lived nearby Kumiko-sensei, and Kumiko took her skating. So, does that mean that the Satos brought Tsuguhiko and Sachiko together??? And perhaps they'll do the same for the next generation of Kozukas??

| Thank you, Batsuchan, for some translation about Ms. Yaginuma's comments on Taka's book. Also, thank you shikure for the link. I used Google translation for"今シーズン、彼は表現力を強化していこうと目標を掲げています。" to know that Taka "has set a goal to enhance the expressive power and go." I hope Mao can give him some help and advice. | |
