I was too late to watch the homevid... Could those who have watched it share a few details about the program, please? I think the person filming was trying to conceal the camera, so about 90% of the view was completely blocked, but you could see parts of the spiral, steps and the ends of two of the jumps. It looked like Mao's spiral speed got a lot better~ The back arabesque was particular fast in my opinion :3 The arrangement was !! There were some vocals, but only a little near the end. I hope that helps a little Haha, if it counts for anything, the pink and purple lighting really fit the whole program, too.

today's news Mao and Mai pair program practice scene, interview....
The theme of this program was "Sexy and Wild", but they were pretty as ever. Thanks for the link tokitama!! I like how Mao is so serious when she is learning the choreo even though it's a pair program just for THE ICE. She always does her best to give a good performance!!

No biggie. It's crazy how Mao still hasn't really "peaked" yet. In Caprice she has shown (yet another) improvement in her performance, line, and extensions - her unassisted fan spiral back arabesque was gorgeous, and her Y-spin was pretty much an I-spin!

| Thank you for all the vid links GUYS. I do really miss Mao and she continuously surprises me with her improvements. She really skates with grace and ease wherein the audience are always in awe and no other skater can bring on technique, grace and agility on the ice like she does. | |

| I LOVE CAPRICE! Mao's steps were exactly on the music. I didn't even think it was possible for the extension/line on her Biellmann spiral to improve...but it did! You could tell she was really happy after that was over. I can see this as becoming one of the best EX's of the season like her Tango. | |

| ^thanks for the HD version, kirakira!
I really love all of Mao's new performances esp. her new Ex. I hope to see her skate her SP this season with the same cheerful manner she skated this program.

| Anyone skating to Jimi Hendrix automatically becomes a favourite of mine... but... Taka-chan is already my favourite! I wonder, what does that make him This music and this look, I think, suit Taka-chan very well. He looks much more "into" it than last season and I love that. I hope his competitive programs will have that kind of spirit as well!! | |

| Hihi everyone! Thanks for posting all the links! Caprice is GORGEOUS, as expected. I love the camel spin with the fan behind her back. The step sequence is ridiculous, but at the same time, it looked just like steps that would go into a competitive program (it reminded me of the "Masquerade Waltz" steps). Which does make me wonder, do you guys think that this could potentially be reworked into an SP? I thought maybe TAT purposely made this program very difficult/demanding (and included the 3T) so that it would help Mao with her actual programs, but now I'm wondering if they're secretly planning to maybe use this as a competitive program, if perhaps "Masquerade Waltz" doesn't work out. "A Whole New World" with Jeff was just PERFECT. I was really impressed, honestly. Last year I thought their "Enchanted" program was just a little awkward/they were a little shy, but this time it seemed like they both were really enjoying themselves. And dare I say it? They had chemistry! (Oh no, what about Taka-chan?! ) - clovera wrote:

Thanks clovera!! This clip made me almost tear up, because they asked the restaurant's head cook why he likes Mao, and he said something like, "Because she'll talk to anyone, even an old guy like me. She's cute, she works hard, and she tries hard. She's a Japanese treasure, a world treasure. Truly." Aww! Apparently TAT really liked the unagi; she said it was really good and ate everything! Is Mao taller than Mai now, or is that just the shoes? Off to watch Taka's EX, which is really his short program, now!
