Is the music from these CDs the official music that they use or just the same song but a different variation?

According to 2 CDs released before.
The songs in CD are original version not skating version.
So this CD perhaps the original one too. But because there
was a concert playing these songs for Mao so these might
be last concert's version as same as Fantasie Impromtu in
the first CD ( there are 2 versions in a CD, one is piano
original version which will be rearranged for skating and
the other is orchestra version "for Mao")

My CD arrived yesterday and I finally got a chance to check out the DVD!

It has Mai's 'Aranjuez' and Mao's 'Caprice' from 'THE ICE' with no commentary (yay!), as well as their interview with Honda-announcer.

There is also a cute clip of Mao and Mai listening to the orchestra rehearse Mao's songs. I couldn't help but think, Mao is so adorable. Everyone there must have been so charmed by her!

I haven't listened to the whole CD but I have to say, the flute version of "Masquerade Waltz" is stunning! All the trilling flute makes it almost sunny at some points. It's too bad Mao didn't use that in her SP. But I still prefer Caprice!!

How different is it from the James Galway version Okami shared before? When they said a cheerful Masquerade Waltz and after listening to that arrangement I really thought it'll work. That's why I was disappointed with the short version of the old Masquerade.

It's much faster and livelier than the version that Okami used in her lovely video. I guess the arrangement must be slightly different (repeated sections?) because it's about the same length, but the tempo is considerably faster. It made me want to dance; I could see why Mao would say it made her want to skate!

Batsuchan, that description makes me want to see Mao use that arrangement for CoR even more! Now I wonder why they used the old one instead of the flute arrangement which we all expected?
