FatiniAdlina, Mao actually did skate to this Etude, it was her exhibition in the 2007-2008 season. It was called "So Deep is the Night", because it is a vocal version of it. It's one of my favorite exhibitions! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA-e6o1iv18&feature=relatedBut it would be lovely if she skated to the piano or violin version for a competition program wouldn't it?

| i'd really like mao to bring some of her exhibitions into competition especially so deep is the night (but as tristesse) and por una cabeza. ithink she'd get more favor from the judges and she seems so much more comfortable and expressive, especially por una cabeza. any reason as to why she doesn't do this? | |

| I saw a video the other day of Miki's SP in 4 continents to Dream by Debussy. I've never heard this song before, but I LOVED it! Can't find the video anywhere now unfortunately, but here is the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5P6iYRIlpk There's a nice little video of a CGI woman playing the piano, but someone decided to give her a huge butt... Lmao. IDK.... Anyway, I would LOVE to see Mao skate to this song! | |

| I'd like to see some Riverdance. There are beautiful pieces, not too heavy. | |

| Hi, I am new here and it's my first post. I just watched mao at the 2011 worlds and got really emotional over the results. but instead of harping over it, i decided that i shall post about what i would like her to skate to for the next season (thats if she chooses not to break for a season) So, it's been mentioned before. and i really think mao can pull it off. 1) Swan Lake https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ea90L91eZk2) Extreme makeover https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqMt4rkFLsc it's very long. so maybe just the starting parts, 6.14 mins plus and 7.55 mins plus with some editing. but it could be too heavy though. | |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWPACef2_eY I've always dreamed of Mao skating to that... it's soft music all the way through again but so... I don't know... sensual. Someone on YT commented that it was creamy and warm and I can't find better words. I think she should wait a little though, considering what V/M did with it at the Olys... let a few years go by so that people won't so readily compare the two programs, and mature a little also. ETA: and the swell of the music around 3:10 would make a perfect spiral Or the long edge (with her new found speed) into her 3A or 2A-3T

| for her short program I want her skate to Yiruma's kiss the rain. It will be beautiful. As for the long program it has to be Butterfly lovers.
It will be a dream come true if Mao can skate to Butterfly lovers

| i totally agree with Swan Lake. but i'd also like to see her skate to Dumky Trio (i think that's what it's called. Carolina Kostner skated to it at one point.) i think it would match her bubbly personality. | |

| I've always wished that Mao would skate to some traditional Japanese music with actual traditional Japanese dance moves. I guess it was Yukina's Picasso Dance which was choreographed by Tom Dickson that stuck the idea into my head. It was a nice change as opposed to having an Asian skater skating to a Western interpretation of their music. | |

| I'm an other supporter of Swan Lake. Even it is used very often but a very rare amount of skaters are so perfectlier fit with this music than Mao. If Mao skate with swan lake I hope she will not only stick with the main theme but also other music from act 2 which is soft and beautiful, a perfect match for her skating. I also have a dream to see swan lake ice ballet with Mao as odette (White Swan) , Jeff as the prince and Yuna as Black Swan. | |

This will never happen, but I can just picture a video montage... Clips of Mao in her white ballade dress, and maybe her ladies in lavender dress with the swan on it. Clips of her and Jeff skating together. Then clips of Yuna in her black Dance Macabre, James bond, and Bullet Proof dresses....It would be awesome if someone did make a video for your idea!!

This is also one of my wishes. Or even more modern/fusion pieces from Japanese composers and/or musicians-- eg. Kitaro, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Keiko Matsui, Yuhki Kuramoto, etc.

| In my heart, it'll be
EX - "May It Be" by Enya from Lord of the Rings; "The Promise of the World: The Merry-go-round of Life" by Yumi Kimura from Howl's Moving Castle Soundtrack
SP - The Sound Of Music; "Whispering Wind" by Ronan Hardiman
FS - "Carrickfergus" by Ronan Hardiman; "Here I Am" by Hans Zimmer from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron Soundtrack
These days many skaters skated the same music from time to time although with different interpretations. It would be good to see them skate something new, distinct, fresh, different, masterpiece. Not to look original, just something different.

| This is kind of out of the blue, but the soundtrack from The Secret Garden (1993) by Zbigniew Preisner is some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard, especially the section "The Awakening of Spring." I can totally see Mao doing some beautiful spins, spirals, footwork, and spread eagles that perfectly express the music in a lovely and light manner. Unfortunately, it's not very long, but if she could combine it with something else by him, it'd be amazing - especially for a short program. Plus, it would be completely original - I've never heard it skated to. I've put the link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMZtqnn3QCo&list=FL0FBoClQ6OBkg-I2iZMe0ZA&index=63Also... I wouldn't mind a program to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Especially any of the Elves soundtracks. Mao can definitely express their wise, sad, but lovely personalities as shown with Jupiter. | |
