Is this Mao's father?

I was wondering during a long time, actually.
In _this_ great montage made by bibi, about 2 minutes 20 seconds from the beginning, Mao is sitting at the table with some man in front of her. Is this her father?
For some reason I always thought that yes, he is. Maybe someone knows for sure? I'm really curious... )

He is a Chinese restaurant owner near ice castle where Mao and Mai often eat at I think his name is Charley. He seems like a nice person

Well... thank you, Yumei! Never thought that you possess so deep knowledge concerning Mao's, um, personal life.
I thought that he's her father because the video seemes like 'home-made' and of the way he communicates with her.
And, yes, he seems like a nice person - this 'factor' also entered my reasonings.

I'd like to see Mao's and Mai's 'real' parents.

I have no idea how their dad really looks like, but I remember Mao-chan saying that she looks like her dad and her personality is more like her mom

I've already seen Mao's mother a few time on the corner of videos but I don't remember where, I'll search and let you know!

Hi, bibi! Thanks for the link. This is actually one of my favorite Mao's montages ever. (Which means I watch it every single day at least a couple of times, yes.))
There is a lot of Machiko Yamada, Mao's former coach, there. And, yes, also there a woman appears sometimes (for instance, in the moment when Mai's crying) who really might be their mother.

I think 2:02 and 4:16 might be her mom, but 2:56 is Yamada coach I believe

Wow awesome video. That one part is funny when she nails a lady with a souvenir and attempts to underhand another one to her when another person intercepts the souvenir. Poor lady lol.
