- Spacey, YES, surely easy to pack. I wonder what the brand name is. It's quite unique.
Her dress is rather unique. I do not know the brand. It looks like it is made from chirimen (Japanese crinkly fabric). I love that kind of fabric. It is easy to pack when you travel. - Batsuchan wrote:
- I haven't been able to watch ANYTHING else or catch up on everything you all have written ( ), but I HAVE TO KNOW--what is going on with Taka and Mao??!! My little shipper heart almost exploded when I looked at their blog posts!
Yey Batsuchan! I’ve missed you! I love your insight and humor. - bellarina wrote:

Me too! - bellarina wrote:
- Seriously, though, that probably didn't happen, but I do think something happened over the summer. Maybe it was the shock and heartbreak over the earthquake; maybe it was the combination of everything that's happened to her so far; maybe she rediscovered her joy of skating as her hard work started to really pay off in practices. I don't know if we'll ever know what it was, but it made her a better skater and artist.
You’re right! I’m also speculating that Mrs. Sato (Kumiko Sensei) is a wonderful influence. She has such a kind and nurturing smile. Her husband appears strict and serious. Though around Mao, he does seem to be quite taken by her charm. Nobuo Sensei can’t help but crack a smile. Maybe the Sato’s are in tune with Mao’s artistic sensibilities. I think being able to communicate with her coaches is wonderful for Mao. Her expression is easy and natural. - dlynndao wrote:
- Alex Shibutani just posted a 2nd photo album on Fb from NHK Trophy banquet and karaoke afterwards (many awesome pics, definitely check it out! http://on.fb.me/rJPJDo). Various pictures of himself and Maia with different teammates/other skaters attending the banquet...and then!
caption: "with Mao and Taka!"Because they come together in a pair, of course Wonderful photo! They all look great! Taka-chan is very photogenic. - shikure wrote:
- Pics from Akko's blog, Akko and Dai did interview together
They got the same assignment for GPS and end up with similar good results. I saw Akko cheered Dai before SC on twitter and that was so sweet. Kawaii!! So cute! Dai and Akiko are about the same age and they seem to get along well. Lovely pics and videos everyone! Thank you all!

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BYM77I40 Thanks fefe_sky! Thank goodness it was Tara commenting for NBC rather than Scott "Scoot" Hamilton. Tara, I feel, is one of the few commentators who "gets" Mao's attitude towards skating and the way she's always trying to improve/challenge herself. Tara mentioned in this commentary that Mao's comeback shows how tough and resilient she is. Tara also said that she doesn't know many skaters who could come back like this Also, I love love love the last spin (the donut into Biellmann) - can't stop watching it.

| I was watching Mao's FS when my sister walked into the room(she cares nothing about figure skating) and she made a remark about the "boring music". I actually agree with her, I like classical music but I do think Liebesträume is pretty boring, maybe it's the arrangement or maybe I've heard it to many times by now....But I'm really happy Mao is comfortable with the program(and she skates it beautifully) and that the judges finally seems to appreciate it as well! Loving all the pics of Mao and Taka togeheter. So what was the thing Taka was hoping to announce at NHK? Sorry if anyone has already written about this, I must have missed it… | |
