| For the 09-10 season I've chosen my FS It is Boys playing Airplanes from the Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtNATHP-fVUBut I'm nost sure what my SP and EX should be. The SP should be somewhere between 2:25- 2:45 The EX can be any length If anyone has any suggestions, please post them Thanks! Narumi (NarumiAyane) | |

| I guess it depends on what you want to aim for. Do you or your coach have a particular theme in mind, or a specific genre of music you want to skate to? (contemporary, classic, ethnic compositions etc.) | |

| We're thinking a little more on the classical side. | |

| I always though this would make a beautiful skating piece: "Sun Flower" by Yundi Li [2:30] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nROJcoQUyRcIt's "classical" but also has Asian music influences. It's entirely piano, but I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for. It is a generally fast paced song if you are looking to contrast your Free Skate music. | |

| Wow sapphiresky! Those harry potter pieces are beautiful. Por Una Cabeza is a good idea too. Since I go to a boarding school ( I compete under their system, I won't see my coach until Sep.8. Until then I will go to public skating sessions and start choreo by myself. But since my coach and I have e-mail and telephone contact, so after a few more ideas, I'll send her an e-mail.
Thanks Everyone! | |

| Wow that Harry Potter song is beautiful! The other one is fun, and pleasant too. I've never thought about them for figure skating before. I'd like to see Mao skate to either of them! Songs/ scores from movies, plays, and operas almost always work good. They have lots of dinamics, and tell stories. They are also usually very pleasant, or beautiful, and are very well written. Plus, people like hearing them. I think of hearing a familiar song I like from a movie in someones program as a treat. Oh, and I'm still waiting for someone to use the sleeping beauty waltz! hint hint You're young, and people won't critsize you for doing princessy songs. Their actually my favorite type of music for ladies to skate to, no matter how old they are! | |

Here's a link to a orchestral version on youtube:
