They had another personal best in the CD today. We can, and it's not surprising because the Shibutanis are just brilliant. I am so excited for Yuzuru and Kanako! Their strong performances at Regionals really boosted their momentum coming into this; as long as they stay focused and collected they can easily win this JGP.

| Results Page Yuzuru wins, and with over 200 points! That's the 3rd best ever TSS for a junior male after Adam and Michal Brezina's scores at Jr Worlds 2009. The fall (and UR call) on the second 3A made the FS scores very close between him and Ross Miner, but Yuzuru edged him out on the PCS by about 3 points, which made the difference. Yuzuru also received a +0.97 on his flying sit and +1.00 on his final combo spin, which you expect to see from spinners like Lambiel. Really impressive. I hope Kanako and the Shibutanis can follow suit! | |

I hope Kanako and the Shibutanis can follow suit! I believe wholeheartedly in the Shibutanis and Kanako!! And man, I am practically crawling out of my skin to see his programs (and the Shibutanis). To all three of them, I think it would be safe to say at this point: "See you at the JGPF!!!"

| Fall on the salchow, but still a good skate from Kanako! Her step sequences received some crazy GoE's in both the SP and the FS. Musademba, however, crashed and burned like at JGPF last year. Yikes... But this means Yuki and newcomers like Kiri Baga has a better chance of making it to the finals as well. Good luck to all the competitors at JGP Turkey! (and to no one's surprise, the Shibutanis win ID) | |
