And I totally agree with the fans who are upset abput the protocols not being uploaded earlier! Even the organizators of obscure level B competitions or the junior GP events post the details earlier... This is Japanese Nationals, they should have the technology to post the details immediately. - Lady_in_black wrote:

It's not easy to add a loop to a jump that doesn't have a perfect landing. 2T would probably be easier, but it takes some time to steady the edge and tack on the jump, and Mao has pretty tight choreo after that jumping pass - she already had to skip a bit of choreo during one of the competitions because it took her toolong to complete the revolutions on her camel spin. If she spent too much time on trying to tack on the jump to the flip, she could end up messing up the spin and losing levels and/or GoE) ans in result just lose more points. She did try to salvage the messed up 3F at the Olympics, though (and somehow tacked on 2L-2L to it).

| That makes sense inskate I like that she kept the 3L-2l-2l, it's steady combination for her and gets many points | |

They should IMO. But considering 4CC it's in Japan I won't be surprised to see Mao, Akiko and Kanako being sent to 4CC.

| I'd rather have Mao and Akiko take a break and send some younger skaters... But probably JSF would prefer to send the most known skaters to boost the ticket sales. Does anybody now when the teams will be announced? - linglang wrote:

Ugh, the quality on my computer is so bad I'm not even sure I'm watching the right channel. Did the Reeds skate just now? It looked like them, but it could be just a FS commercial from what I was able to see... ETA: It got a bit better, I think Haruka is on the ice now.

ETA: It got a bit better, I think Haruka is on the ice now. Yah, Haruka is now on. Too bad she's injured ... I like her programs especially SP this season. I guess JSF rely on them for tickets sales too. It will be announce before 21:00 JPN time about 1.5 hours later.

The national TV just started to broadcast the event, so I guess we will wait for one hour or two...

| Tickets for 4CC are almost sold out. It won't hurt JSF even if they give spot to Rika. It's said the audience gave standing ovation even before she finishes, I think Japanese figure skating fans will be very happy and excited to see her competing at 4CC. | |

| They even don't show the result of the game because they have to wait Fuji TV to broadcast. So hope that we will see all protocol soon after tonight. Japanese tv stations are very strict and stingy with their copyrights but it is a business. My friends also didn't look at internet so they will not be spoiled by the result before the broadcast started. | |

| What is going on? They just showed Yra Matsuda (great skate judging from the commentary, although I couldn't see much due to laggy stream), then a short clip of Mao warming up off-ice and now it switched to some political news..? ETA: Never mind, it was just a commercial. They are showing the ladies stretching off-ice, Mao did a spectacular one-handed Biellman! Somebody in a fuchsia dress is skating right now, I missed the name... 2 falls, one pop so far, though ETA: The rest of the performance looks good, though, including 2A-3T. That was Nikaya Rin, if I heard correctly. | |
