| Thank you Okami, Pooping and everyone for the updates. The quality of the clip is GREAT~~ We rarely get these in YT. (a side note: does Oda looks thinner than before?) And yes, I can't wait to see Mao's new EX as well - I just watched Mao's EX performance at GPF 2008 again; she totally ROCKS!!! Love her hand movements at the beginning of the program and such fluidity in her skating. | |

| It seems like Miki skated another new program today. She skated to Requiem by Mozart with a black and purple costume. I don't know if it's her new SP or just another gala program. Too bad it's not gonna be on the broadcast. I really wanna see it.... | |

| Thanks for the links everybody!!! I am serious...without you guys I would never find half this stuff!!!
Oooh Miki looks really fit! But I am still not a big fan of her costume unfortunately. Too much fishnet @__@
I am so EXCITED to see Nobu's ex. Austin powers!? xD This is going to be really, really good. Skaters always seem to do better, too, when the audience is on their side and the music is upbeat and fun. I also can't wait to see Yukari's...even though she already performed it at PIW. I just love her ex! I think the choreography is just wonderful and she skates to it well.
xD In the video clip, is that Yukari *pretend* smoking a cigarette!? xD

| I saw some interesting reports on 2ch board.
Machida is getting the knack of quad. He landed some clean one and even a 4-3 in gala finale. Mura missed most of his jumps but landed a clean quad finally. Even 14 y/o Hanyu attemped twice but fell on both. His 3A is becoming more consistent. Machida must have made a good appeal for the NHK TBA spot.

That's actually Fumie. She uses a cigarette in her gala program Padam Padam. She has already performed it in PIW, so you can see it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZO_a3s5vH8

| I found ans uploaded another clip - Fumie, Nobu, Miki & Yukari: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75SJOHF9J1wThe reports sound so fun! Yukiko F. reportedly landed 2A-3T, Mari S. was ON, and Dice M & the Reeds delivered surprisingly good and entertaining performances. S/S and the rest of the guests had goos skates, too. And the very loud Nobu fangirl (about whom I wrote in posts about NHK/Nats) was apparently in the audience, and with as impressive lungs as usual. | |

| The skaters look awesome! I laughed so much at Nobunari's expression during that besti squat... I really like Miki's program as well. I'm OK with the outfit - I think it works with the music well and isn't actually /that/ revealing. | |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZO_a3s5vH8 Thank you for the link, coconut! Haha, I wonder if that man in the audience that "lights" her cigarette is part of the show's staff or just some random fan xD

| I just loooooved Miki's program! I didn't care about the outfit at all after I saw her performance. Nobunari's program was really funny and I think he is really good at it! His costume could be something different though. I also enjoyed Cathy and Chris!! it was really entertaining!! :joker: | |

| Thank you for the links!!! I really really enjoyed Nobu's program! I his dancing!!! Especially right after the more upbeat music kicks in at the beginning. I am surprised that this showed a lot of his technical strength and still manages to be so entertaining at the same time! Who was the woman that he came up to in the middle though? Was it his girlfriend? Wife? Or just random audience member xD I agree with coconut, I was kind of skeptical about the costume after just seeing the pictures, but now it totally fits in (My only complaint is that I do think her skirt could have been an inch or two longer in the back...). I thought the whole tap-dance footwork sequences were really unique and cool! She stayed in time with them really well. I also enjoyed Akiko's performance! It was so film noir/high-class Parisian XD! | |

| Tono's EX is just... If the bread and butter of the American ladies are the spirals, I think it's safe to say that for the Japanese ladies its their footwork. Miki and Akiko's EX were just thrilling to watch. | |

I am surprised that this showed a lot of his technical strength and still manages to be so entertaining at the same time! Yeah, that's what I like about Nobunari's (and Scott's, and Kurt's) entertaining programs. Occassionally some skaters think that just appropriate costume and making faces will make a great program... and it usually doesn't work. I still have nightmares about that program where Plushy appeared dressed as a newborn baby (complete with pacifier)... and then the music switched and he started skating to Sex Bomb. That was disturbing on so many levels. Or when Stephane skated in a pink cat costume... And then was so embarassed that he asked for the video to be removed off the web. (Poor Stephane. ) - Quote :

It was a random lucky audience member I really laughed at that! And when he kissed the lady's hand, another lady in a pink coat sitting close by jumped up, clapped her hands and squealed Watching the audience is sometimes funny, too! Yukiko Fujisawa looked great! She landed a beautiful 2A-3T in all shows. I'll post all links in the next post.

Or when Stephane skated in a pink cat costume... And then was so embarassed that he asked for the video to be removed off the web. (Poor Stephane. ) Its what made Plushy one of the most recognized skaters on NicoNico Douga, that's for sure. Not to mention he had other..."curious" EXs like the one with the nifty costume to assist him in switching genders every 10 seconds or so. Speaking of Stephane's cat number, I wonder what Yagudin thinks of his banana-dress EX he had way back in the day...

Please don't remind me! I'm trying to forget that program so hard. This show was great - I really liked the diversity in programs... And it was great to see the young skaters (Kanako, Yukiko, Mari) to skate so well. I hope one of them will get back 3 spots at Junior Worlds. It's too bad that Miki's Requiem was not broadcasted... I just found a photo of her (from the Ice Jewelry show): She looks great, and judging from the reports she was really ON in both of those shows.
