Caroline Zhang officially moves to Charlene Wong

Caroline Zhang has officially announced coach change.

So many comebacks and coach changes this season.

She's moving to Charlene Wong?!

So Mirai leaves Charlene and moves to Frank Carroll, and now Caroline goes to Charlene?

It's like musical chairs!

I strongly doubt whether this is a right decision for Caroline.
Anyway, I hope her good luck next season.
And I always wonder what would those skaters feel when they see their former coaches stay with their competitors in K&C, such as Mao and Rafael, Mirai and Charlene Wong.

So after a week of rumor-milling, its official! It certainly indicates that a lot of the skaters are hoping to make a splash in the competitive scene (made more prominent since its the Oly season). I do question the timing though - it just seems like it makes a lot more sense to do a coaching change to the seasons prior, not during, the actual Oly season so that the kinks and transitions to a new coach will gradually ease out, à la Mao like I have previously said.

As for former coaches and students, their relations generally remain amicable - Mao hasn't left Rafael with any bitterness (and vice versa) and that is also the case with Mirai and Charlene. Of course, there's always going to be a few exceptions.

And there is another rumor that Mingzhu Li might go back to China.
