The commentator's reactions to Nobu's jumps are hilarious! Laugh

I love what little can we see of his program. The steps into 3F and 3L are insane - I seriously thought he started his footwork sequence, and then BAM goes a triple right on the beat. I'm with the commentators - that's +2/+3 GoE material. Swoon

They didn't guess the choreographer right - the program was choreographed by Sebastien Britten, not Jeff Buttle. Smile

Although I agree that the program is very Buttle-sque in its lightness and the amount of transitions.

Re: the article: ugh, Patrick, just stop talking and skate. I really appreciate his skating skills, but it's difficult for me to truly love a skater if every time I see him/her on the ice I remember their harsh comments about their competitors. Did he thought that Daisuke only recently recovered from a severe injury and he might be simply trying to preserve his knee? Disappointed

Okay, I was watching it on a chinese channel (no delay), but now they are showing pandas?!

Not sure if that's just a fill-in during the warm-up, or is it a good time to switch to another channel... Whirly

Well, CCTV is back, but they are showing Zawadzki again. Whirly

Fumie dumped on PCS - she's even behind Marchei, and Valentina bombed. Sad

It sounds like Haruka was on fire, although the lack of 3-3 hurt her. He's in 3rd for now, but only the Canadian had slightly higher PCS.

I wish Alissa didn't have to go for two difficult variations on the camel and just stayed on the donut + held the rotations (like Yukari). I don't mind the hip-dropping that most skaters do when they perform the donut, but two of them in one spin is not very attractive at all. Sweatdrop

ETA: And she wins the SP. I think I'll be skipping the pairs today...

The pairs event was quite well skated. I loved the baby Canadians, and their cistumes and program were gorgeous! Lubov and Nodari were great too, but their music was very tiring. Beautiful costumes, though!
And it was great to see Siudi in the K&C with Kemp & King! Cheering

AFAIK nothing new, only that he landed 2 perfect quads in the practice. I knew that already from his fansite. Smile

Wow, she improved her presentation a lot! WOW!

She reminds me a lot of Mirai. She just needs upper tier jumps to challenge for the top in a year or two. Smile

Someone on GS posted that Patrick and Adam collided in the practice pretty hard. They were able to continue their practice, but now Adam has a black eye. pale

Lol, Adam's mom is hilarious. This is what she tweeted about the accident:

Gorgeous jumps. Too bad he didn't go for a quad, they seemed so on in the practice. Cheering

Kevin Reynolds in second - he landed TWO quads! Smile

GoldenSkate is about to explode over Patrick's score. The poor guy fell THREE times, twice on jumps and once on the footwork, and everyone was like "poor Patrick, now he's out of contention!". And then the scores went up and it turned out Patrick scored just 3 points less than Adam, who skated perfectly and landed the Rippon Lutz... Laugh

Congrats to Kevin! This officially makes him the first skater to land two quads in a SP, if I'm not mistaken. Yep!

Even with an off-skate, PatC gets the highest PCS of the night and 36.73 for the TES. Of course. Hell, no!

Haruka was awesome! She was a bit underscored, IMHO. I was hoping she'll go for 3L-3T - IIRC she landed it in a summer competition. Her presentation really improved! Smile
