THE ICE 2011

Thank you guys so so much Like everyone else I love this program. The only thing that I hate are the gloves. In the exhibition lighting it seems that Mao doesn't have hands

But still she looks beautiful and the program is so nice.

Mao's Chopin is so funny, I'm glad to see her engoying skating. But I still prefer Jupiter to it.

Wow, I love the new EX! It's better than I expected. I was worried that TAT will rehash the elements and mood from the Ballade EX, but the jazzy Waltz was a breath of fresh air.

I loved the steps into 2A, 3S, the spiral (probably the best we've seen from Mao recently - finally she had enough time and space to gain some speed before going into the spiral position) and the step sequence. Lovely posture and pointed toes on every position.

It looks like they cut out a bit of the program, though. There's no 3Lo (maybe they didn't want to broadcast the fall). I hope Mao will skate to this program again! Just maybe with a bit modified skirt. As much as I adore Jupiter, it's very emotionally exhausting to watch (), so it would be nice to rotate it with the Jazz Waltz, which is more uplifting.

I instantly loved the new ex! (which surprised me a little bit, actually. for some reason I didn't think I'd love this program as much as Mao's other exhibition programs, at least not until mid season or something) It really brings out Mao's light, dynamic, joyful, exuberant qualities, as well as Mao's balletic beauty.

About the costume, I think the dress would look great if it were sleeveless, and maybe flashy pink bracelets or something with it would look fun. I like the skirt, but it doesn't look very practical for skating. Anyway, Mao looked sooooooo pretty.

oHHHHHH like some of you, i thought that this exibition would be good but not excelent.
But i must recognize i love it, TAT is a fantastic choreographer for exibitions. Mao was skating beatuifully, WHAT A SPEED ohhhhhhh, so much energy.
just LOVE IT, except for the dress that i don´t like at all and even looks very difficult to handle while she is skating, it looks so heavy.

I'm loving this number! It's different from what Mao has done in the past - it sets a different mood for me personally anyway. The jazzy coolness feel to this program seems more up Taka's alley, IMO, but it plays to Mao's strengths perfectly, and she brings her usual charming innocence to it so that the program feels different for Mao yet very Mao-ish at the same time - if that makes any sense.

As for the dress, like I've expressed before, I don't like the gloves because they take away from Mao's finger movements. I would be completely fine with the collar if it had no polka dots, and I would be fine with the skirt's length if it weren't so puffy. Thought I'd add that I love the high ponytail. : )

Anyway, nothing on YT or on fsvids... I thought for sure that I would be able to download a couple videos by the time I got up today (and I really slept in too)...

Did I perhaps see a few pages back that it would be broadcasted again on the 24th? Or was that my imagination...?

chiyori, I think the Sep 24 one will be the same as Sep 10 one.
Since 中京テレビ is local media, there are only limited area received the signal.
日テレ is national media and ppl can receive the signal in most of the country

I think they cut that just because Mao didn't deliver the program perfectly during the Ice. I think the shape of the skirt is cute but they may need to make that shorter to lose some weight. about the top, they can just make that more simple~Mao is cute enough and don't need anything to make her cuter

I also watch Taka's new EX again and the spread eagle and split jump are so perfect. but don't know what is wrong with the ppl cut the clip~ he just cut the last sound off. PIW version with annoying comments all the way, this version without good ending-->all I can expect is Taka wins all over the season then I can have more options to have good version.

Mao has two great exhibitions this year! It's great that they are so different from each other as well, playing to different aspects of her artistry. This one is so light and playful, and she had such a beautiful smile throughout. I actually think the skirt has a cool movement to it, but if it is indeed causing her problems it should be modified. I also agree with whoever said the gloves made her hands disappear; it would be better without them or with cuffs instead. But overall I love it!

I love it she looks so happy while performing it,I hope she'll bring this joy and confidence to competition.

Yuzuru's new programs are amazing, esp his freeskate. I saw potential from him last season, but I'm officially a fan now.

There's a lot more meat to the waltz exhibition than I had expected prior from the snippets we saw earlier. And I must say, I'm really pleasantly surprised. It's an absolutely delightful program even with the odd costume. She's been lively in past exhibitions before, i.e. "Por una cabeza" & "Caprice", but she's so free and playful in this one.
