Hi, babayaga, I think that's a problem with google translation...I'd probably suggest to skip the person names, as they may not be faithfully translated! (To note: 宮原知子= Miyahara Satoko, but her first name 知子 in Japanese can also be read as "Tomoko", that's my guess.) COHK, so was that Satoko who just skated and earned 60 points?

Yes! 5:宮原知子: 60.19 into 1st place now...looks like she landed all the jumps (I got side info that she got 34+ with TES)

That was a beautiful 3A, it was so fast, I thought it was a 2A until I saw it in slow motion I thought so too, I didn't realize it was a triple until the slow motion All the news and clips makes me want to learn Japanese sooo bad.... Anyway, i thought it was a 2a at first, and then i watch it again for like 3 times, then i realized it was a 3a. I guess my knowledge about jump is improving :p Can somebody tell me, was that a clean 3a?

| Result from 1st two groups, taken from GSF, posted by NMURA:
Yuka Toyama 38.27
Is it that only top 24 will go into FS? From the live update website, it seems that Miyabi Oba wouldn't make it to top 24...

I got up pretty early to watch it because I thought they're broadcasting it live... Oh well... Shame about the popped loop...!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JazfJE_PCHM&list=UUlr8ybsYMXcRLeCT31ShdbQ That was a beautiful 3A, it was so fast, I thought it was a 2A until I saw it in slow motion I thought so for a while there too! And sometimes Mao jumps such large 2As (the amount of time she's in the air seems long), I mistake them for 3As; the other way around. But heck, I never imagined she'd do a 3A during dress practice! The press seems to be divided into two; those which don't think Mao will attempt 3A no matter what, and those which still think there's a chance she might. I myself have no idea... Good to know Satoko is in first so far...as expected. But like Miyabi Oba too, so her results are a bit of a disappointment. - linglang wrote:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JazfJE_PCHM&list=UUlr8ybsYMXcRLeCT31ShdbQ Gorgeous!! I like that she looks happy and relaxed. Same here! I hope Fuji TV will broadcast as many girls as they can...tonight's broadcast starts from 19:00 and ends at 23:10! If they use most of the time running commercials, I'm gonna get real pissed! Btw...Maos' orange SP dress wasn't an old temporary one after all??? Or was it afterall a totally new dress??? And thanks for your kind words linglang! You're one of the nicest people here! ETA:62.81 isn't all that bad, cheer up guys! "Afterall, tomorrow is another FS!"
