and the footage is even better than TV Tokyo’s. Laugh

No problem! I think the NHK interview was meant for advertising NHK Cup, as shown in the very last part of the video. They just mention JO by the way.

Oh, I also love the music editing done by 'wice-san'. I've watched it a couple of times!!

Currently Mao and Satoko are in practice. There haven't been any photo seen yet. But from report in twitter Mao is in practicing clothes. I guess we'll wait for tomorrow's competition to see her formal competition costume.

Also, in the Q&A session after the practice, Mao talks a little about the costumes (she's in her practicing clothes when practicing). She says the SP and FS are of different colours, both her favourite. FS will be in the kimono style, with patterns of 'coo-cio' on it!

It looks like Mao is in really good shape Dance

. Not only her artistry is shining more than ever, but also her jumps look better than they used to be. The triple axel looks easy and rotated, the 3F-3L beautiful and airy (maybe a little UR) and the 2A-3T has more flow and the second jump is higher and has a beautiful delay. It's awesome to see that she's still improving her technique. Additionally, her Lutz (which could be seen in another video) is much better in my opinion. While the edge is not correct yet, the way she takes off looks much closer to a true lutz. You can see she keeps the outside until the very last moment, thus avoiding that "S" trajectory her blade used to follow. Great job Mao! You're truly amazing Cheering

I just know, that step sequence is going to be epic. I know she's been away for a year so she won't be in a top competitive shape, but I hope so much she'll be as clean as possible. Worship

I agree Iceriver, she looks fantastic. The break really did wonders for her.
Getting 3F-3Lo ratified is almost impossible. Especially with her history of UR calls (some justified some not), the tech panel is going to be extra scrutinizing it, the same with 3A. Very Mad

So I really hope she'll change the combo to 3F-3T and keep 3Lo as a single jump.
I honestly don't believe she'll be able to correct her Flutz. This is such a difficult thing to achieve, if she'll be able to move from e to !, it's going to be a fantastic achievement. Yep!

We already know but now it's more than official: Mao is amazing!!!! What a comeback...141.7!! And PCs are not inflated at all so...imagine her scoring potential. She turned the 3l in the combination into a 2l and popped the 2l-2l into a 1l. She's awesome!!!
