| A very short report posted by fanfan, the admin of www.nobunari.com, on their site's BBS: (after 2nd group): Group 2 has finished skating. Oda-kun made no mistakes. Currently in 1st.(after the last group): Overall, 1st rank. Tomorrow he will skate 1st in the last group. Tomas-kun had not enough revolutions on 3A and stepped out. But other things were really good.Perhaps after the competition there will be some longer reports. | |

| A report from SmileWind again: Akiko skated with no mistakes and scored 55.02. She's currently in 1st with 18 skaters to go. Nobunari came to the rink to cheer for Akiko! | |

| This was a great event. Congratulations to all the winners. I wish I could see at least those programs which were debuted at Nebelhorn! - Quote :
- Nobu landed 3A-3T-3L with some +2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great job! I had been worried a little, because he did not attempt this combo at Moran Memorial. I thought that maybe Nobu and Nikolai decided to not try it because of the high risk of messing up the 3L. I'm glad to see it back and better than ever. But sweet heavens, I don't think I've ever seen PCS scores so all over the place! It seems like the judges could not decide whether to treat Nobu as a elite skater, or a newcomer. They were all over the place, from 3.00 to 8.25. And some of the judges could not even come to agreement about which component is Nobu's strongest point - some gave him the highest points for skating skills, some for interpretation, one for choreography... I think it shows how much the judges rely on the opinion that the skater has. And when a skater appears out of the blue they just don't have an opinion to rely on... I'm glad to see that both the PCS and GoEs went significantly up in the LP. Hopefully Nobu will manage to restore them to SA/NHK 2006 level, and even improve on that. I feel a bit sad for Akiko, who doubled both of her Lutzes in the LP... Hopefully she'll rebound in time for NHK. Alissa surprised me with her newfound consistency. I heard that she went back to normal skating boots and does not wear the hinged ones anymore... I wonder if that made the difference? | |

| Wow, the scores are really all over the place! I think the judge no.9 had some grudge against Nobu and Michal... He gave them _really_ low PCS, some in 3's... I thought that he/she was simply stingy when it comes to PCS, but once I scrolled won it turned out he gave normal and even high scores to other skaters. I haven't seen the programs, so of course I can't really judge, buch such a huge disagreement with other judges and the reports is rather weird! I'm relieved that both of Nobu's lutzes got high GoEs in the LP. I was like at the edge warning in the SP (and most of the judges ignored it and gave Nobu high GoEs anyway). I think the jumps were so out of nowhere that the technical caller pressed out of sheer surprise and was too ashamed to admit it afterwards. | |

| Thanks a lot for the link, zyem! Alissa's layback is great. I'm glad to see her landing her finally jumps. | |
