| OMG! Shoko Ishikawa is now in! I absolutely adore her skating! But it's very sad that Nana withdrew I hope she is healthy unlike many skaters these past 2 seasons | |

I wanna see the men's and ladies' competition. Rooting for Team Japan... NHK will air at least the ladies portion of the event live. The full schedule can be seen here (google translated for the non-Japanese members). Their broadcasting schedule for Nov. 06 is as follows: 16:00~19:00 JST - Pairs + Men's Short Program LIVE (BS-Hi) 19:30~20:43 JST - Ladies Short Program LIVE (NHK General) 22:00~22:44 JST - Men's Short Program *pre-recorded* (NHK General) BS-Hi indicates that the program will air on NHK's hi-def satellite channel; there *may* be a TVAnts/TVU stream for it but it may not happen. NHK General, on the other hand, usually has a steady feed on TVAnts so it certainly is an option to consider.

| Thanks for the info, clovera! I'll try it on TVants later. TVU isn't working well for me. I hope Taka-chan lands that quad in competition. And I hope Dai-chan will be able to land one, too. Good luck to all skaters!!! | |

| http://www.justin.tv/skate_skate/ has coverage. 1st group over. Shaky lutz for Dai-chan and a fall during his footwork. I was hoping he'd skate better today. Warm up over now for group 2. Go Taka-chan!!! --------------------- Fall for Taka-chan, too. I hope the ladies do better.

I know it's the Olympic year and everyone is trying to peak at the right time, but there's really no reason they should be skating THIS poorly at EVERY competition. In an odd way, I hope this encourages Mao: Almost everyone else is struggling too! I think it would be harder for Mao if everyone was doing well and she was the only top skater having some not-so-great performances. In any case, I hope these ladies come back strong for Vancouver. It's really going to be a heartbreaking competition for me if everyone is falling and URing everything (and not to mention bad for the sport, since the only time most people watch skating is during the ladies event at the Olympics... )

| May I add that I think the K&C at NHK is so beautiful I'm pretty surprised by the whole thing but not exactly shocked. The top 5 men are not in the order at all I would have guessed. The ladies I am a little surprised, but the point difference isn't really that large in the top 3 so I think it can go any way now. | |

You're right Liffey, I completely forgot about that (so that's two events this year where the ladies failed to break 60 in the SP; it's almost reminiscent of the GP during 05-06). I certainly hope we can see some good skating today!

Here you go! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-D6vcEZtNAShe fell on an underrotated 3F. But the rest of the program was very nice!

I certainly hope we can see some good skating today! Oooohhh.. that's interesting, isn't it! Although it would be nice for this season to be similar to that season in that someone (*cough*MAO*cough) could end up like Shizuka, I hope it's not TOO reminicent of the 05-06 season, because the ladies LP in Torino was really disappointing for me, with a few exceptions. Generally, most of them didn't perform anywhere near their potential, and I hope we see better performances in Vancouver. Anyways, I too hope we see some absolutely fabulous skating today, especially from Miki, Yukari, Ashley, and Laura. Come on ladies... You can do it!!! ETA: I originally put Mao's name instead of Miki's on the enouraging message above by mistake. Even when she's not competing, it's hard not to root for her!
