I think Mao should create 2 brand new programs. IMO, something like this will suit her skating styles. I play this video on, and mute her SP video. It match perfectly.

I want to see 2 new programs, one delicate like Clair de lune, I love it. or sad but soft like the shindler´s list and the other something funny or I don´t know how to say it "coqueta" like her ex por una cabeza.

Hehe, well I just finished watching the "Ladies in Lavender" film! I have to say, watching the "Fantasy for Violin and Orchestra" part definitely sent chills up my spine, and I definitely was feeling a little teary-eyed at the end.
I definitely think Mao should use a heartwrenchingly beautiful piece like that again!
coconut - Thanks for the link! Ah yes, that's what the music was like! I agree with you, perhaps that "Don Quixote" song might be better suited to Mirai.

Ryuichi Sakamoto's Energy Flow www.youtube.com/watch?v=btyhpyJTyXg (probably a bit too lyrical to be made into a program, but then again, Miki's Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence SP continues to be my favorite program of hers, so who knows?)
I just love Mao's Clair de Lune that I'm sad to see it go though...
clovera - I was listening to "Energy Flow" last week and thinking of how you suggested this song for Mao earlier! I think the gentle, high-note part starting around 2:10 is GORGEOUS, and I totally can imagine Mao doing a lovely spin there.
I don't usually buy albums based on one song, especially instrumental songs, but I remember totally falling in love with this song when it was first released, and I just HAD to have the CD!
But I also agree with you - "Clair de Lune" the way that Mao did it at 2009 WTT - that was SUBLIME! I can't stop watching that performance!
"Masquerade Waltz" is amazing, especially the step sequence, but it doesn't quite have that effortlessness, that gorgeous flow that "Clair de Lune" has. Today I found myself wishing that I could have heard Peggy Fleming's commentary on it! I think she would have been swooning too! "She just takes my breath away...I enjoy her so much!"

So, I just had to comment that it seems like everyone wants/expects Mao to use "Swan Lake"!
I have seen people talking about/guessing that Mao will use "Swan Lake" as one of her programs on at least THREE sites I check - someone said it on FSU, and a couple of Japanese bloggers that I follow also independently said that they'd like to see Mao use that music or that they'd heard people talking about Mao potentially using that music.
Hmm... Well, I guess we'll just have to wait till August or so to find out what Mao's going to use.
ETA In ballet class, we were dancing to the "Don Quixote" pas de deux music, and so I was thinking about this thread during class...

Well, yesterday I was cleaning out my apartment and discovered that I have the "Mononoke Hime" (Princess Mononoke) soundtrack!! It's one of the Studio Ghibli animated films. (This was a good discovery because I was going to go buy it. )
Many people on the forum have already mentioned that Mao should use Studio Ghibli (composed by Joe Hisaishi) music sometime, but I just thought I'd share this piece, since I think it is both moving and gorgeous!

I just love Romeo and Juliet Love Theme so much these days. But Sasha used this piece of music before and Kimmie has chosen Romeo and Juliet as her music for long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMq-ku0dQ1A

maybe not for the olympic sp and fs but i want her to skate to something jazzy. just watched the movie centerstage again and i wanna see how mao will skate if she uses some jazzy music from that movie like canned heat (final dance) or something...
ps. now i realize why one character there looked familiar. didn't know the one playing sergei was an olympian figure skater, Ilia Kulik.

well, actually I hope so,Roma:).I think Mao always performed little reserved. So maybe it's a time for her to has a change Although i like there are lots of Ballet elements in her performance,I aslo her performances will be diversified. So not only jazzy, maybe more Latin more cha-cha all are pretty okay-) Heeeeey!what about more Japanese? That's sounds very fabulous!! PS:Who(i mean Mao's fans) doesn't want to see Mao brings more fresh fantastic performances?

I was listening to Libertango (YoYo Ma version) and I felt this would be such a good selection for Mao. It can help highlight a more mature and confident Mao.
