Dai's jumps were clean, but he lost balance and fell at the very end - a bit like Mao at NHK last year. He still got a standing ovation though.

Yeah!! Go Dai-chan. His face is so funny on that photo... it's like "huh? haha... i'm an idiot..."

(Just kidding.)

I think it's obvious that if Daisuke hadn't fallen right there, that program would've been perfect and all the male figure skating population would've been forced to conduct seppuku - out of envy. (All except Oda, he might've held himself from that act out of retrospective self-irony, so to speak. )
So... just a heavenly will for the sake of the great balance.

Great program from Dai - he's certainly the crowd favorite this event, no? Nats will be really exciting - I'm already picturing La Strada vs. Tono's Chaplin already (hopefully Kozu's condition will improve since he's been looking a bit shaky right now).
