| Subject: My new video version of the 'Bells' pro... Mon Nov 01, 2010 7:35 am | |
| Hi guys, I made another music change video on Mao's performance...I once told polosatik that I like strong performances like 'Bells...' as much as her soft ones, and that I wish she'd do something like that again in the future some time. I suggested this music might be suitable for Mao in that case; it's the theme aria from the film 'Europa' by Lars von Trier. polosatik was kind enough to tell me she thought it was a good choice, so I kind of got carried away, and decided to make this video using it. Hope you like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy-C4en-7dQPS: Sorry to some friends for not responding yet to their PMs. I've been using all my free time to complete this. I've been kind of depressed lately for various reasons, and creating videos are the best cure for me... I'll be replying back to you all asap! Please forgive! | |

| polosatik, aoi thanks for watching, and I'm so happy you liked it. I don't think I did such a good job this time decorating the footage, but I though Mao's moves matched the music pretty well. And I know some of you aren't that fond of this pro, but the more I see it, the more I love it...it's still haunting me. Also the fact that this pro matches so many types of music, like this gorgeous aria but also the calm Japanese music ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTXzU6f2hQ0 ), proves the depth in the artistry. What's being expressed here is so universal. I'm feel guilty towards Rachmaninoff, but I think it was his music which made many people feel this pro was gloomy and heavy. When you see it without 'Bells..' music, there's nothing gloomy nor heavy about it IMO. It's actually very powerful, strong and has lots of impact. It's very different from Mao's usual style maybe, but she still shows alot of flexibility and the way she moves her arms are beautiful. I hope lots of people outside would see my videos using music other than 'Bells...' for it, and would change their views on this pro. Btw, whenever Mao doesn't do well, I watch this performance she gave in Nats last season. She did quite bad in GP before, missed finals, but made a brilliant come back that time. It always reminds me that Mao always returns with something better. | |

Thank you europeanfan! It's been a while since I made a comical video of Mao...I hope she could be more happy by the end of this season, so I'd have lots of new clips of her smiling and laughing which I can use to make something like this 'Lucky Star' montage again. | |
