That's because the show hasn't been broadcast on TV yet! clovera wrote earlier in the thread that it will be broadcast on the 24th. So one more week to wait! I'm soo looking forward to seeing Mao's dress in a fully-lit arena. And I hope Machiko-sensei is commentating--she's always so fun!

Thanks for the links, as always, kirakira! Aww, little Mao is soo cute! I keep thinking that Mao looks too young to be 20...and then I look at these old clips and realize she does look much older than she used to... From watching this clip, I realize that Kanako and Shouma have very similar flip technique--they both bend their right leg a little bit before they pick. Unlike Mao, who always keeps her leg straight... At the beginning, they mention that about 50% of the top skaters in Japan are from Nagoya.

| That exhibition was lovely! Seeing the dress in motion, I actually like it LESS than I thought I would. To be, it takes away from the beautiful simplicity and basics of the program, and is frankly a little distracting. Although the color is OK in this lighting, she disappeared in regular lighting, so I definitely think she should go back to the old dress where we can focus on what is important - her skating, no gimmicks included. | |

Tatiana Tarasova does NOT have the best taste in dresses... considering the previous outfits she designed for Mao, and now this one. I agree with you - the white dress is simple and really shows off the beauty of the program. This black one is a bit distracting and almost takes away from it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW8Ytchxh34 Wow, that 3F looked great! I'm so impressed with Mao's quick progress. I just watched the documentary about Mao's work with TAT during the Olympic season (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfhc1jV-qso) and there was a clip showing Mao struggling with landing a 3F. It really showed how the old technique made it difficult for Mao to land the jump. The performance was just gorgeous. I sort of wish Mao used this music for her SP - despite the fact that the choreo is quite challenging and complicated, the music seems to help Mao and calm her down. BTW here's the whole show: http://www.megavideo.com/?v=IXIJ2F6PIt's nice to hear Machiko commentating. Nobu gave me a scare, I thought he was going to land 3A in the audience, but somehow he popped it to a double and managed not to land on anybody

| I wish Mao would revert to the classic white, simple dress for her exhibition programs. The simplicity of it matches the lyrical tones of the music much better.
That black thing is something more suited to a masquerade or something and worst of all, it makes her look five years younger. And here I thought Mao's bad dress days were far behind her with Tarasova...
