World Championships 2011 - Pre-competition thread

I actually like Mao's dress. It reminds me of the support for Japan- perhaps because of the red? The centrally placed bright red streaks reminded me of it- it's what immediately popped into my head.

I liked the design of the dress for 4CC, but it didn't have any bold colors, and bold colors is what Mao needs for her tango!

Is Miki not planning a 3-3 after all? She looked so good in earlier practice sessions.

I was in the spoilers thread and wondered why there wasn't much discussion there. And then I realized that you are all in here!!

Mao's costume: since last two seasons, my comments about Mao's costume have become less and less appreciative. And I desperately want this trend to end with this competition over.

Will be straight and direct about this: absolutely hated the front but the the photo showing it in motion looks better. Two things they did right: No chokers and Mao looks lovely in bright bold colours.

We should seriously consider sending some of designs shared here!
If I recall - Okami made some very lovely (and realistic designs)!!

Maybe Kumiko Sensei - She seems to have a good taste!

I don't know. I never really trust Miki's planned elements. She always seems to back down. I do not know if it is Morosov's strategy or Miki's choice. I think she should go for the triple-triple. Miki has huge jumps and there is no reason why she shouldn't challenge herself.

I'm sure it's because I have no fashion sense, but the bold design makes it a standout for me... So if Mao moves in the rink, people's eyes will be glued to her and that's the reason why I somehow approve of this dress...

Anyway, spoiler thread time! I'll have to accompany my Mom to the hospital an hour from now so I may not be able to join you guys.

Well, Mao's dress is... weird, as usual. I still don't have a clear opinion about it. Anyway, we're already used to her strange choices. What I'm trying to understand is Yuna's dress. Giselle in black?

Mao's dress
I wonder what Sato sensei's reaction was like when he saw it first time.
I thought she'd have minor changes to her SP dress ... I never dreamed of something like this ...

I'm worried now. When Mao's practice in the warmup doesn't go smoothly, she becomes more nervous in competition.
