Thank you for the information. Too bad about injury and withdrawals ... Yey I will be rooting for Russian girls! I fell in love with Serafima Sakhanovich and Alexandra Proklova at JGPF. So I'm a little bit sad that Alexandra will not be there. But, I'm looking forward to seeing Elena.

Thanx for the infos, let's talk and Abdiel. I'm hoping for Elena's win, and for Nathan Chen doing really well. Will there be any streaming available? I guess ISU can't stream it on their youtube page (like they did WTT and Nebelhorn) since someone (probably Russia) has surely bought the broadcasting rights.

Nathan Chen's SP. Shame about the fall in the opening 3A. He telegraphs into it,and when he pulled into the air position, it looked off to me. Step sequence, spins, basics and the polish were very good for a junior.

There may be a Russian sweep in the Ladies' singles event. But wow, the freeskate will be exciting. The top 4 are separated by narrow margins!
1 Elena RADIONOVA RUS 66.90 2 Serafima SAKHANOVICH RUS 64.75 3 Evgenia MEDVEDEVA RUS 63.72 4 Satoko MIYAHARA JPN 63.57 5 Amber GLENN USA 56.58 6 Karen CHEN USA 56.09 7 Alaine CHARTRAND CAN 54.68 8 Jenni SAARINEN FIN 53.76 9 Da Bin CHOI KOR 53.69 10 Tyler PIERCE USA 51.84
.
The men's singles is even more exciting. The leading and top 13 skaters are separated by 10 points. Any of them could be on the podium depending on the freeskate. I am honestly curious on how MCM would have done had he been injury free. Also, 2013 bronze medalist Shotaro Omori of the US did not qualify for the freeskate.
1 Nam NGUYEN CAN 72.87 2 Boyang JIN CHN 71.51 3 Shoma UNO JPN 70.67 4 Keiji TANAKA JPN 70.57 5 Alexander PETROV RUS 69.72 6 Nathan CHEN USA 69.65 7 Adian PITKEEV RUS 68.76 8 He ZHANG CHN 67.72 9 Jordan MOELLER USA 66.38 10 Petr COUFAL CZE 63.92

Wow congrats to Brian Orser! This season his skaters became European champion (Fernandez), Olympic champion (Hanyu) and Jr. world champion (Nguyen). And it's very possible that he'll add two more medals at WC in two weeks. It's Yuzu's competition to lose, and Javi is in a good position to win a medal as well.
I'm watching ladies right now, the sound is horrible, either very quiet or so loud that even when you have a sound installed to it's minimum the music can still be heard through half of the house. I hope ISU will fix it soon.

I'm sorry I'm responding so late, I haven't seen your message. COHK has already replied, it's the only stream available as far as I know, though like I said, the sound is really annoying today.
Satoko is skating last, I hope she'll medal. Last night all of her jumps were rattyfied, which is great news, so hopefully the same will happen today. Go Satoko!

haha it's alright heh I only just wrote a few minutes ago, by the way I found jenny from finland very elegant but she was technically very weak, if she could get those jumps more stable she could become very competitive

I think she'll get there she just turned 15 so she has time. She probably won't be in the same league as the russian geniouses, but she could become another Korpi or Lepisto.
I do wonder though what's in the finnish water, every finnish skater is drop dead gorgeous.

i agree, they are very pretty heh, but for me what is most noticeable with jenny is her carriage and elegance, it's good to see an upcoming Finnish skater, since the current ones are gone due to injury

well to me her skating is not that catchy or memorable, but this is also only the first time i have seen her, maybe that will change with time, but she unlike the finnish one seems to hav the technical goods but artistically could improve alot

Well, she only turned 14 two months ago, so she's practically still a "baby". I say give her time and I'm sure she can and will improve. But her TES is really great for someone so young.
And gosh Lena... simply amazing. She's such a star.
