Japan junior figure skating championships 2011

The competition will take place at the exact same date as Cup of Russia, where most of our attention will be, but I thought it was deserving of a thread.

In the ladies, I think the competition will be quite fierce between Risa and Satoko.

Both the men and ladies will be exciting! Gold is most likely going to be between Risa and Satoko for sure; the former has the leg up in PCS, while the latter has much stronger technical content (and a considerable immunity against compulsive URs, which just might be key). Third place will be really close too - Miyabi and Miu are rather evenly matched so far, and there's always Kako Tomotaki and Hinano Isobe who pulled a bit of an upset in Sectionals. I would love to see Shouma on the podium again for the men, but it's going to be a challenge since Keiji and Ryuju is probably going to fill up 1st and 2nd by default.

A little bummed about Risa placing 3rd (good job climbing from 7th place though) and Shoma placing 5th. Congrats to Satoko and Ryujyu!
