| I saw a vid of her doing it for fun, together with some other skates like Daisuke, and they all almost fell *lololol*
It was on a Gala, i think, like Dreams on Ice~~ | |

I wondered about this too!! Because she clearly has the flexibility in her back, and she definitely has the turnout...maybe it was a strength issue? She did say that her back/hips used to bother her... Maybe it's just something she wasn't interested in learning to do...? Mao's outside spread-eagle IS pretty spectacular already... | |

If Mao decided (or learned) to do an Ina Bauer at the moment, it would definitely be the best of the ladies' in the field now. I've always wondered why she didn't do one...I'm sure it would be outstanding. But in my opinion, she doesn't even need one. | |

| there's no doubt in my mind that Mao could do a stunning (layback) ina bauer. but in all honesty, i don't think she really needs one. she has her beautiful Biellmann spiral and others i don't know the name of.  | |

| Yu-Na has quite a beautiful Ina Bauer. And Mao's flexibility is unarguably greater than Yu-Na's. So, if Mao chooses to perform an Ina Bauer, it would undoubtedly be spectacular! I guess this is something to look forward to in the future  | |

| I always wondered why Mao didn't do one too. Maybe it's just something she never got around to learning? I think Caroline and Mirai do REALLY great Ina Bauers! I know Mao could do a really great one like that, and I'd like to see her do it one day.
I saw that video of Mao trying to do one too. lol | |
