According to news articles, THE ICE will be held at three locations this year!!

The show is scheduled on July 23 and 24 in Aichi and July 30 and 31 in Osaka and one more show will be held sometime between July 25 and July 29 in Tohoku. The date and place of Tohoku show has not been fixed yet, but it will be one day only. The victims of the earthquake will be invited to the Tohoku show. The profit made in Aichi and Osaka will be used for the operating cost of Tohoku show and donations through Red Cross. They also will ask the audience to refrain from giving gifts to skaters, instead help them raise donation money. Taka and Mao will not be paid for participating in the show.

Mao says she will skate a new program at THE ICE. (as usual ) She also suggests a possibility of skating a pair performance with Taka!!

So, what will happen to Jeff-Mao pair this year!?

Alyssa, Mirai and MeryChary are on the list!! I'll definitely go!!!! (Hope Mirai and MeryChary can make it this year! )

Wow, this is a great cast!! I wish I could go too! This show is usually on TV, right?

I love this cast so much!! I love every. single. skater and that usually never happens (I'm always indifferent about a couple people). The only one that's missing is Plushenko CAN'T WAIT for a Taka/Mao pair program. I also would love to see another Jeff Buttle/Mao one too!

I thought I'd spread the news, but linglang already did...
So I'll just add a few words...the Tohoku show is going to be only for the people who live in the damaged areas it seems, and will be a totally free show. I'm guessing they'll be keeping the rink, time and date all secret until as long as they can so fans from other areas won't come and try to sneak into the audience...if they're not planning to do so, they should! Because I'm sure all FS fans in Japan imagined for at least a brief moment that there might be a way to see the Tohoku show if only they can sneak into Iwate or Miyagi and act like a local...well, I'm sure the next second they all thought they should never do such a thing and leave all the seats for the real local folks...I sincerely hope.

They might not be able to take the whole show with them, but Mao and Takahiko will certainly be there. I wonder if they're going by plane? I don't think the railways heading towards the Tohoku areas are all moving yet (are they?). Everybody going there is either using their own cars or long distance buses, I think? I'm not even sure if the planes are flying yet...or will they charter one? I think they should. There aren't any other ways to go to the Tohoku areas and return in such short time...

I'm so eager to see her new pro! I thought there may not be time to have one ready by The ICE show this year. Looks like Mao will only have a short break from skating after all. She should be deciding who to hire for next seasons pros by next month? Or has she done that already?

I've been so terrible, I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the posts on Worlds or anything else....BUT, I saw the news about Mao and Taka-chan headlining THE ICE, and then I read that Mao wants to do a pair program with Taka-chan and I nearly fell out of my chair!!!

The crazy shipper fan-girl in me just had to say, "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

The press conference also cracked me up--why did Taka-chan and Mao have to do that funny handshake pose? And why did the camera have to zoom in on them holding hands like that? Hilarious!!

At some point I will get my act together and post some more (surely this is worthy of some great fan-fics, right?)...but I gotta disappear again...SIGH!!!!

And the poor Taka had to be silver world medalist for Mao consider pair with him a program.
I want to watch that program already!!!

Sounds like it's going to be a good one this year! (they're ALWAYS good though ). For those of you worried if Mao might not skate with Jeff, I wouldn't be too worried. Remember last year she skated with him AND Plush? If they don't skate together, I don't think it will have anything to do with her skating with Taka. I hope to see her skate with both guys too!

I really hope Taka and Mao skate together.. they make such a cute couple! If Miki were in this show, she should skate with the white boys.
