I safely completed the 2-week training in America.

I'm really surprised that here in Kansai the danger of influenza has become such big news!!!!

Even here there were news of the new strains of pandemic influenza and people dying. It's truly scary...

And because of the new influenza, the Rinkai Ice Show on 30th May was cancelled....

When I was little, the Rinkai Rink was a practice base for me and many people from Osaka and the whole of Kansai. That's why I would like to help a little, too. I'm really sad that the show was cancelled... But I hope that it will be held again soon!

I advertized the show, so now I feel really sorry for the fans who were looking forward to it so much.... I apologize.

This time during my training we created a new EX program! This season for my EX I will skate a comical number! The choreography is really challenging, can I really do it? I'm worried like that~ But from now on I'll do my best to express a positive attitude!

Next time we will meet at Kansai University Ice Show (Ice Koushien)!

Skating a new program might be difficult, but I'll do my best to improve my condition to skate a program that will be enjoyable for everyone!

I missed Nobu's comical programs so much. I'm so happy that Morozov kept his promise (from his interview in Russian) and decided to play to Nobunari's strenghts (even though the choreo is apparently quite challenging!) Yep!

I hope so, too. I was so shocked that the Kansai University and its rink had been closed! Are they open again by now, I wonder? I don't have time to follow the news because I'm busy studying for my exams and writing term papers, but I got really worried when I heard that the Kansai Ice Arena was closed and the ice show at Rinkai was cancelled. pale

Nobu went to Honnoji temple to visit his grand(x15)father's Mauzoleum. He introduced himself to his ancestor and promised to work hard in the Olympic season.

If that's a preview for the Olympic season, the coaches will have a hard time kicking the media out of the skaters' bathrooms or something... Neutral

I had thought so as well... But then I realized that visiting a place where your ancestor has commited suicide is probably not the most pleasant experience! Snow

I would certainly feel a bit spooked. Embarassed

It was probably twice as stressful for Nobunari, who probably was aware that the media will be all over him the moments he steps on the temple grounds. I remember that as a kid Nobunari really disliked the attention that he got because of his famous "grandpa". He even signed his schoolwork using a mix of hiragana and kanji (”お田”), so that his classmates would not discover the connection between him and the famous warlord... Of course, the trick failed and the class couldn't help but laugh every time there was a roll call. What a traumatic childhood... Sweatdrop

It could be worse, though! Apparently his father really wanted to call him "Nobunaga", and it took the combined efforts of Nobu's mum and his older sister to talk him out of the idea. Too sweet!

It kind of looks bad how the media is pretty much surrounding him while he's trying to pray. But Nobu's strong--I'm sure he somehow managed to gain the attention of his ancestor!

Yeah, I admit I was really surprised to see so much media in a temple. Probably the fact that Nobunaga is such a famous historical character lured even more media than usual. What's more, a documentary about Nobunaga's family was being made and Nobu of course appeared in it as well (including scenes taken at the temple).

I just watched a video clip (from Omoikkiri Don!) where some of the guests argued that Nobu really looks like Nobunaga. ROTFLMAO

Haha. For some reason, once I read an article (or watch a clip) about something that interests me, like figure skating or computer arts, I usually remember it well for a long time. I remember when some person at FSU apologized to me for making me do a research when I sent them a compilation on links and quotes (about Morozov and his Japanese pupils at that time). But the truth is, I didn't do any research - I just fished out the relevant information from my inside-brain library of figure skating related information.
Sadly, my memory doesn't work half as well in real life... Sweatdrop

Today, Nobu participated in Koshien on Ice, an ice show organized by the Kansai University. I totally worn out my refresh button, because I hoped that Nobu will skate his new EX. Sadly, it looks like I'll have to wait until DOI, because Nobu skated to Tosca instead. Well, he said on the blog that skating the new EX might be too difficult yet... I'm really interested what Morozov has cooked up this time. *impatient smilie goes here*

A short summary:
- Dai said things that are already mentioned in the "Daisuke is back" thread, Yep!

- Nobu said that he just changed boots in May and is still adjusting to them. He's programs will be choreographed in July (during the training camp in Andorra). Nikolai said that his long program will be funny/comical, and his short will show even more different style. Nobu also said he plans to challenge 4-3-3 combination this season! Faint2

- Tatsuki Machida wants to challenge quad in the short program. He feels calmed down by training along with Takeshi Honda and Nobu.

Ah! I was looking forward to seeing the new EX too (or at least learning what music it was skated to). silent

But Maybe Nobu preferred to skate to well known choreo if he wasn't used to his new boots yet (and probably had some rough practices).
