13 years old Mao skating to Carmen! She attempted a 3-3-3 combo, and after missing it the first time (turned into 3-1) she landed it close to the end of the program. Plus, she landed a 3A (2-footed and UR, but still very impressive for such a tiny skater).

In the information box of this video is written that Mao was the first lady to do a 3-3-3 combo. Does someone know if it's right?!
Btw, sometimes I miss her spontaneous reactions after successful landed jumps she always showed in the past. I'm happy that she's far away from that 'face choreography' though...

Yes, Wikipedia reports that Mao was the first (and, still, the only) female skater to land a 3-3-3 combo in competition. But other skaters, like Arakawa and Kostner, have landed 3-3-3 in practices!

no news at all, it's like she has completly dissapeared from the spotlight, it's really crazy how quit it has been!

It's truly odd. Maybe Mao has been saving a surprise for all of us regarding her progress? Besides, it's nice to practice for anything when it's quiet with no paparazzis.

Second week of July... no news. I hope we'll get some by weekend. :-(

Thanks roma! Awesome CM! I love Mao smile so much and while watching this CM I realized how I miss her. But our angel is now working really hard and no news are good news I guess. She's training in peace and no one disturb her.

does anyone knnow if Mao will reveal the gala music before the exhibition?

ballerinamao, I hope so, also, hopefully she'll announce her music for 2012/13 season soon. I can't believe it's July 10th and there's still no news at all!

I most say sato is doing an amazing good job keeping all the reporters away from Mao, but seriously it beginning to be too much, if only there would be some practice clips soon, i am really so curious to know how Mao is doing, and how her practice is progressing!

maybe the japanese media is concentrating on the coming olympics. a lot of japanese athletes are good contenders for medals eg. kohei uchimura for gymnastics.

let's just think that mao will ultimately benefit from this situation, she could train in peace. but like most of you guys, i also wish mao will reveal her competitive programs soon. i guess in a few months mao will be again the center of attention of the media.

This year Meryl and Charlie were invited as Sensei.

I read yesterday on the net Mao and Dai were spotted eating miso soup together during lunch break.
It's good to see Nobu's smile too.
