| Very impressive performances from the top five in Riga, I especially enjoyed Evgenia's SP and the choreography for Karen Chen's LP | |

| I really like Medvedeva. Does anyone know why Serafima Sakhanovich wasn't competing? I'm dying to see her, I hope she's not injured. I was also pleasantly surprised by korean skater Na Hyun Kim. For those ineterested, ISU has been kindly uploading junior GP for the past 3 years. https://www.youtube.com/user/ISUJGP2011/videos | |

| Yay for expressive guy skaters! I love Nathan Chen's short program from ISU JGP Mexico. He skated a clean LP and won 1st place ahead of Ryuju Hino who did a 4T in the LP. Nathan didn't do a 3A, stuck with a 2A but he skated with the polish and command that I rarely see in junior men's singles. I love the final spin from the SP!! Go check it out. On another note, the Philippine skater's flexibility (he does a Cantilever, Y-spin, and a Biellmann) in SP from ISU JGP Riga is Too bad he messed up the 3A, and I think that affected the rest of his program. Though I should say working with John Nicks has helped him polish his transitions and skating skills. | |

I've been crazy about Nathan ever since his amazing 2012 Nationals. Too bad that he's gotten a syndrome (I've forgotten what it's called) where your entire body is riddled with pain, so it's very painful when he's training. Amodio also had this during his growth spurt. If he's so good when being in pain, just imagine what he'd be like if he were healthy.

I hope that doesn't affected him during a performance. He'd be DOMINANT if he were healthy!

Fell in love with him after his Peter and the Wolf program Also I think what he has is Osgood-Schlatter (we had a similar conversation over at the Yuzuru Forums too )

I knew it had two names, but for the life of me I couldn't remember. Do you happen to know, how long it takes for this syndrome to go away? I hope it doesn't last the entire growth spurt. - Abdiel wrote:

A while ago, some people who knew Nathan and his health situation said, that he can't practise triple lutz, because his knees hurt so much. it's probably also the reason why he isn't doing 3A. I hope he'll "survive" this intact, because like you said, once he's healthy... I can't wait to see a healthy Nathan.
