I don't like she didn't have this :twisted:Mao self especially when she replaced her 2A-3 with -2. Maybe because she fell on 3A? I think this program gets charged more and more from 2-3 & 3S toward StSq. So, I'm disappointed that she didn't do 2-3 here again.
Anyway, it's OK to stumble now than later.
wow, the score ... Kumiko-sensei seems she's not getting it. Actually it is quite easy to understand, Mao can definitely beat Ashley in PCS. And given Mao has landed at least 5 triples, she can beat the 58 of Ashleyy's TES Thanks and I checked protocol and yes she's getting 9s from some judges !!! Finally judges started to give her scores in the second mark that she deserves. And it will be marker higher if she nails everything!!! Excited!!
Sorry for saying again and again, but she'll have to nail 2a-3 at NHK no matter what. And I'm sure she's mortified with her today's performance and will be determined even more to do better next. Yes, that is what I wish for her, a solid 2a3t. That is why she was not happy today. But just like you said, better stumble now than later!

- It's okay. I kinda felt she won't go perfect in the FS. I thought the PCS was a bit high but then I saw Ashley's score. If they gave Ashely 66, I think they had to give Mao higher, because she has better skating skills and reputation (deservedly in my opinion). The scores were pretty high all across at Skate America.
I agree scores are inflated across the board at SA. But I think Mao deserve 9s, in particular with SS.

YESS!!!! @icenetwork on Twitter: Interesting stat courtesy of @Infostrada2014: Mao Asada becomes first lady to win all six current Grand Prix events. #SA2013 First time in history. One more accomplishment in her long list of achievements! I still think it was kinda a shame. She landed a nice 3A in the warm up before

| A fantastic win for Mao-chan! She was a bit slower and evidently more nervous this time. Shame about the 3A and the lack of 2A3T, but it's her first outing for the season so who's expecting her to be perfect anyway? I am sure the haters who didn't even bother to look at the protocols and just saw her score are already starting their usual tirade of how 'unfair' Mao's scoring was. Oh grow up.
Also, happy for Liza! She had me worried after her SP yesterday.

| During the broadcast, Sandra Bezic had lots of nice things to say about Mao's LP. She said this program has the Potential to be a signature program for Mao and that it is a perfect fit.

Yes, she did. She has won all the 6 of GP, which is the first time in women's figure skating history, if i am not mistaken. Those ISU owners and judges are going to miss this woman when she retires. There will be many who will jump as high/fast as Yuna. And match her artistry in time. But I doubt we will see many that can match Mao step sequences or even bring the 3A back once Mao retires. I bet those judges realize that they have been too hard on the ONLY WOMAN who has successfully attempted it in the past 10 years. And when she's gone, there will be no ladies (in the juniors or seniors) bringing that kind of challenge into the sport. FS will dull without the likes of Mao, Midori, and even Tonya Harding who brought such gutsy determination with jumps even men still have a hard time with, and SSQ most women aren't matching.
