| It would be even funnier if it wasn't true! According to reports, there are 48 places for the journalists in the press room. However, the number of the journalists is... 260! The person who is in the area said that he expects a Battle Royale between the media guys to happen sometime soon... There are first reports from the men's practice session! The person who posted his impressions said that Adam and Nobu looked "fantastic" (in terms of skating skills, hands and upper body movements, etc.), Brain had a typical Brian program, Tomas's SP (Greek Zorba) does not suit him, and the French boys (Alban & Yannick) struggle with their jumps.

2ch's accuracy streak is particularly good this year. snowdrops24 - there are numerous options available this season. In addition to the usual Russian TV and IN, Turkish TV and SBS *may* have a live stream for TEB. CBC is scheduled to have a live stream as well. Universal Sports on the other hand, will have the events via on-demand, if I'm not mistaken. TV Asahi's delayed coverage via TVAnts/Keyhole is a last resort option at best. (and just between you and me, those outside NA can always take advantage of programs like UltraSurf to bypass regional restrictions that CBC and Universal Sports have...)

I got the news from FSU actually. Apparently the number of journalists was reported in a mail, and the number of places (or lack of thereof) in the press room was sort of noticeable. Sad news: it looks like Scott Moir is nursing an injury of some sort... No official report yet, but apparently he looks really off in practices. Also, Patrick Chan withdrew from Rostelecom Cup (Russia) due to a tear in his left Lateral Gastrocnemius muscle. What a start for the Olympic season...

I got that. I just wanted to say it because the very same news popped up on 2ch unbelievably early today (well, once converted to Japan time at least) and I was surprised at how anyone can possibly get that kind of information this quickly. I'm currently watching TV Asahi through KeyHole - the TVAnts stream has the wrong channel - for footage from official practice but there appears to be breaking news on politics which Houdou Station is taking a good chunk of time on. I hope I didn't get the time slot wrong. Due to Tat and JSF's intervention regarding interviews, this is most likely the only clip of Mao - aside from practice - that was/will be aired today (1:14~, very brief clip of Korean media + Mao at the hotel).

Ladies are just about to have their practice session, so perhaps the news will be aired after that? (Completely ignoring mens/pairs/dance as usual ).

| While I wait for Houdou Station's promised footage (I'm starting to think there isn't enough time left in the broadcast to squeeze in Mao's practice now), here is an article on Tono. It talks about Tono's good condition and also about how he got lost while touring Paris on the 14th. Luckily for him a lady kindly showed him the way to the Paris metro and even bought him the right ticket. Tono, Tono, Tono... | |

Mao on TV Asahi! As soon as you wrote that, I went on my KeyHoleTV and arrived when Mao was doing her spiral sequence, then she did a double axel , then a flying back sit then her footwork (same as last year) and finally her combo spin.

3A, I think. It was badly UR. On the bright side, she did go for the lutz, and it looked pretty clean to me. ETA: Maybe it was the flip...oops. The KeyHole stream is so laggy I can't tell anymore.

| Eeeek. I can't believe that I'm just in time for Mao's SP run-through.
It seems like her jump layout will be
3A-2T(fell) - 3F - 2A
Choreography is pretty much the same as last season's. She looks like in good condition though. I can't tell for sure but she was skating pretty fast.
ETA: Was that a 3Ltz??? I think Mao changed to inside edge before take off.

| Yu-Na's FS now. Ack, Keyhole is going crazy. Was that a 2A-2-2 tano I just saw from Yu-Na? (or maybe the bad feed is creating illusions like with Mao's flip)

| No, Mao did not do 3A-3T. She fell on 3A and it was nowhere close to being fully rotated. | |
