| Scary splat for Yuko on the throw 4S, but the rest of the program was quite lovely and they end up in second. 1st goes to P/T who skated brilliantly. Bad day for T/T - I wish them the best when the JGPF comes along. ETA: I love Miki's new outfit. | |

ETA: I love Miki's new outfit. I love Miki's outfit too. She usually has very nice and unique ones. Except for that spider one...she should wear that to Halloween parties..(OK, I am mean...sorry guys).

| It's rare for me to actually like Miki's costumes; they're usually over-designed IMO This new one's not too bad, though I liked the previous one better Is she gonna pull a Mao and wear different costumes for every competition? | |

Okami and I (and many others) felt the same for Miki's spider costume and Tono's Totentanz outfit, so there's no reason to apologize! 1 Brian JOUBERT FRA 232.70 1 1 2 Johnny WEIR USA 217.70 3 3 3 Michal BREZINA CZE 217.48 6 2 4 Daisuke TAKAHASHI JPN 214.29 4 4 5 Jeremy ABBOTT USA 208.45 2 6 6 Adam RIPPON USA 197.61 8 5 7 Takahiko KOZUKA JPN 186.00 5 10 8 Artem BORODULIN RUS 181.62 7 9 9 Daisuke MURAKAMI JPN 181.04 9 8 10 Jeremy TEN CAN 178.87 12 7 11 Vaughn CHIPEUR CAN 176.36 10 12 12 Kristoffer BERNTSSON SWE 176.01 11 11 Crazy day for the men's event. BriJou skates conservatively for the win, Johnny does OK, and Michal almost had the top FS score for the day. Dai and Kozu are off the podium, and Jeremy imploded. Eek. ETA: Looks like Yuko also dislocated her shoulder after the fall on the throw 4S and popped it back in. First Shizuka, then Yukari, now her... Ladies are next!

| Wow! Miki's new costume looks gorgeous. What happened to the Japanese guys? I was hoping both Dai-chan and Taka-chan will be on the podium and now this... And even Abbott... But I'd just like to say Yuka Sato is so pretty! I hope the Japanese ladies will do much better. | |

| I must say that was a rather underwhelming ladies' event. Miki herself looked quite somber in her interview (at least she and Ashley chatted and were all smiles on the podium). Well, in any case, congrats to Miki, Alena, and Ashley - all three should have earned enough points to make it to the GPF. | |

| I have to say that ladies' NHK trophy was boring to watch...I don't see any originality in the programs&elements, the scores are so low and I don't see any motivation from skaters. I remember being so excited watching Mao and Miki at NHK last year.
This event reminds me what a great skater Mao is !!! she's always exciting to watch .

| Anyone have pictures of Miki's dress for her FS? I saw the link above but I cannot save those pictures. I love the dress. I think Miki over practice, she really wanted to win and looked like she was tired, she put too much thinking into her performance that hinder a good performance from her... COR was better... | |
