I personally know some people who will be chanting for Yu-Na to fall and/or mess up badly, but I want to see Yu-Na if not at her best, at least close to it. I want Mao to prove that she's the best by beating Yu-Na fair and square when Yu-Na has done well- after all, you're only the best when you have competed against and won against the best there is (according to Bring It On, at least, hehe). Also, that way, there'll be none of the, "boo, if __ hadn't messed up so badly, __ would have won, so the Gold medalist doesn't really deserve her win" whining that seems to often follow the Olympics. I want Mao to beat the best when they're at their best, and show that she is, as Joannie said, the best skater in the world. I do think this is possible, especially if Mao perfects everything (especially the downgrades issue) and peaks at the perfect time. I highly disagree with the sentiment of lots of commentators that the only way Mao (or others) can win is if Yu-Na has a complete splat-fest; that's not true. Mao, at least, is good enough to win on her own merit. I want her to show some of that indignant anger/fire Batsuchan was mentioning, and show everyone that, actually, she is much better than they give her credit for.

Just like I love seeing Mao skate with Jeff, I wanna see her skate to a program with Dai, too. Seeing Mao skate beautifully to Por Una Cabeza and Dai skating to Eye makes me want to see them do a Tango program together. Is it too much to wish to see them do one in a show like The Ice? Too sweet!
