I wanna see her skate with that ONE guy, too, Batsuchan! Actually, I was looking at my YT faves a while back and I came upon Josh Groban and Charlotte Church singing The Prayer at the closing ceremonies of the 2002 Olympics with a pair skating to it. I can't remember who the skaters were again but I said to myself I'd like to see Mao skate to this song. And since it's better performed with a pair, Mao's pair should be Taka-chan! | |

| MOI Finale, over 10 minutes long! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSuIIbEo3uYThe whole Mao&Dai dance should be here (I thought the dance was longer... . but it is still cute! ). I haven't watched this whole vid because YouTube is very slow for me today and vids don't want to load properly. However, I have downloaded the finale at fsvids.net and it has two whole gospel choir songs and skaters not knowing what to do during the second one | |

| Hi all... I finally got to watch Mao's programs today (I know...very, very late, but I don't have ready access to high-speed internet ), and I just thought I'd share my thoughts (if anyone cares ). SP: This is the first time I've seen this program, so I don't know how her performance here compares to the earlier competitions, but I loved it. It was very light and airy, and had a wonderful dance quality to it. Like some of you said, the 3A looked rotated to me, but I guess camera angles can be deceptive. Masquerade works much better as a SP, IMO, although I did enjoy it as a LP too. LP: Powerful. I am one of the those (few?) who actually liked 'Bells' from the beginning, though obviously Mao wasn't skating up to her potential in TEB or CoR. But this performance blew me away! She seemed so in control, and her 3As were gorgeous. Yes, she still has details to work on, especially getting those doubles rotated in the combos, but this was such a huge step up, I was very impressed! She had me captivated the whole time, especially during the footwork sequence. And her spirals seemed to have more glide in both programs. I had such a good feeling after watching this program! I do have to add my voice to everyone who wants her to ditch the red and black costume...those ruffles are really distracting and unflattering. But I'm sure she'll have a different one for the Olympics, even if she keeps the same one for 4CC. Caprice: Beautiful, fun, and free! I'll have to wait for another day to check out the Mao and Dai stuff, but I guess that's something to look forward to... | |
