| I met Shizuka in Washington DC when they had the world in 2003. She came with Daisuke, fumie and Yoshie Onda and coach Yamada to the Japanese restaurant in downtown. Yoshie was very sweet and freindly and Dai was really young. Fumie was nice but Shizuka was really really quiet. I did not hear her saying much at all.But I felt her inner strength for some reason. I did not get surprised when she got the Olympic gold. To me it was not her best program , but she did what she could do under the pressure. Now she looks more beautiful than ever and I feel her artistry has developed much more. Shizuka and Stephane look really good together.  | |
