He jumps kind of like Dai, doesn't he?
So light, soft and effortless without losing speed...He's special.
I hope they'd manage to let him practice in private soon, though I'm sure JSF is preparing for that. Smile

He'll definitely stay at that rink at Sendai - he's become rather attached to it since it was once shut down during his novice years and reopened in large part due to Shizuka's OGM (it's the same rink Shizuka and Takeshi Honda were located at, IIRC). That said, it definitely looks less crowded than the Grand Prix Tokai Club at Nagoya, so I certainly hope it won't be that hard to book some private ice time there. cat

Yuzuru and Kanako competing on the senior GP is going to be quite exciting!

clovera, thanks for telling me about Yuzuru being in Sendai...didn't know that. Sendai is most likely to be the second best place to be in Japan for a figure-skater, Nagoya being the first I suppose... Yep!

But I can't help and laugh a little bit at the people at the rink. They were not affected at all with somebody jumping a quad as if it was a perfectly normal thing! Laugh

Yes, he says he's going to do a Japanese like version of 'Swan Lake'. So we had Shizuka's modern version, Dai's hip-hop version, and next season Yuzuru is going to present us something new in 'Swan Lake'! It will be cool I think, because Yuzuru has good taste...(except his FP costume for last season). Yep!

Yuzuru is extremely talented. I was blown away by his LP performance at the Jr Worlds 2010.
I think he has potential to win world championship as a teenager like Yagudin and Plushenko.
I even dream about Mao and Yuzuru win Sochi Olympics together. Like a Star @ heaven

Kozu's SP costume for his SP 'take five' was also called Tissue box Hell, no!

i watched his quad video lots of time and thought that it was fantastic!...he made it look so soft and easy.....i like his world jr SP and FP....his SP looks so cool..i like his sit spins....not to mention his flexibility is beyond praise

At a Johnny Weir fan meeting, he talked about how Yuzuru is great but nobody, even if the dead rose up, could beat Patrick....

Some of the things I like about Hanyu's skating
[1] Poetic expression on ice [He is rather fond of that ending position with his arms spread out.]
[2] Creative routines
[3] Lightness
[4] Air position in jumps
[5] Soft knees
[6] Sit spin [I love how he gets so low without losing speed, and the variations as well]

Some things which can be improved regarding Hanyu's skating
[1] Posture in some positions
[2] Stamina issues [I think he has asthma]
[3] Footwork
[4] Costumes [Kleenex costume anyone?]
[5] Lip

EDIT: Added [5], and changed "I do not like" because I feel like I'm bashing him, which I do not intend and will never intend to do.
