I was almost sure they were going to lose a point in the latter half (as usual), but they didn't. I'm more surprised than happy...I wish I'd bet some money on them. I would've made alot of money if I did.
Anyway, it's not gonna happen again, guys! Haha, I was surprised too! WC2006 was terrible for us...and they made many own goals in test match. So they must have saved winning luck for this! I'm afraid we were a bit responsible for WC 2006 being terrible for you guys. I hope Japan can qualify this time. Haha, don't be! The level of our teams is far behind Brazil! You are so sweet, alyssa! Now our media replays the miracle one goal from Cameroon over and over! Yeah! I've seen it a million times already! We have to move on, it's getting pathetic...but well, who can blame us...that's probably the only glorious moment we'll ever have in this year's WC! I'm surprised now that North Korea managed to get a score from Brazil...they sure are desperate. Their lives probabaly depend on it...I hope their 'great leader' doesn't punish them for loosing. And alyssa, MikiAndoFan#1...you can never expect anything true from the North Korean media. Have you guys ever seen how their news programs are? They always have this middle-aged woman wearing a traditional Korean dress, hollering her voice as if she was giving the speech of her life saying, 'Our great wise leader' this and that, 'Our great republic' this and that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0IK1OVV9Ck No footages, no photos, no nothing...so they can create any 'news' they want!

I think they have an equilibrated team, but nothing out of this world. They are still suffering for the lack of individual great players. I think the fact that so many foreign players are there, makes it difficult for the spanish ones to have their space and to discover new talents...

It's the Armageddon! Run for your lives! No, no, you misunderstood, alyssa. On the contrary: Germany lost - it's the first sign that the Apocalypse 2012 might in fact be delayed.

| Mmmm... It comes from the general assumption that Brazil, Spain, Argentina (not only the national teams, but overall) among others represent the light side of football, while Germany, Italy... - so to speak, the dark one. | |

| Japan lost, but I was very impressed this time. It was obvious the Netherlands were far better players, but our guys fought well. The Netherlands should have won like 5-0, but instead they only scored 1. In the very last 20 minutes or so, they only cared about letting time pass. It was a good game. We lost, but I want to compliment our guys. I promise I won't say anything bad about them from now on. | |

Agree ! not bad at all for a country (the asian continent in general) who's rather new in football. Same here! I totally agree with you, PochiPota! I'm proud of them and I feel shame at myself saying bad about them ddmm, mingming...I'm sure you both remember how we didn't get much results in FS years ago. We thought Japanese weren't fit for FS at all and would never have much of a chance for the podium, not to mention OGM. But for years now, our skaters have been on the podium countless times, even in the middle. Who can say the same won't happen in soccer? It may take decades, but one day our team will get stronger...I just hope I'm still alive then.

| I just wanna say congratulations to the Japanese guys! They really fought till the end, and now I guess a draw against Denmark will qualify them. I'm sure Asian teams can be forces in soccer in the future, with investment and contact with those who have tradition in it to learn the techniques, just like FS, and gathering experience, of course. And who knows? Japan may still be a big surprise in this WC. For now, good job! | |
