I couldn't have summed it up any better. There is definitely something different about Mao. She seems so much more self-assured, radiant...not to mention her overall expression/feeling/interpretation has drastically improved. And I never knew how much he white boots made until I saw the clips. It just makes the overall presentation look cleaner and the lines more graceful (especially in "Jupiter"). It makes her feet look tidier, which reflects on her whole skating if you ask me. I don't know why... Maybe because your eye is more drawn to the white boots and you start noticing all sorts of things you didn't see before (her toes look even more pointed! if that's possible...) But there's this sharpness about her steps and crossover that wasn't there before. I would think this comes from Sato's work though and it might be why she reminds me a little bit of Shizuka, who has fantastically tidy little feet and gorgeous skating skills. | |

| About aka & Mao´s program, the firt time i saw Taka nervous(maybe because of a stunning Mao????), ans Mao was absolutely fantastic. The secon time Taka was fantastic too and Mao even better. I´m so exited to see Jupitor, because i think this will be one of my favourite programs, even in few seconds of the videos i feel touched, Mao´s expression is so good i´m almost sure i will cry when i can see the hole program. The waltz dress for me , is horrible and childish, i like to see Mao as a young woman that is everytime more mature, well at leat this dress doesn´t have anything like bra  . But the program looks beautifull i hope they change that dress that seems like too heavy to skate. and i´m so happy she skated with Jeff again and even more happy they skated Aladin program. But i didn´t like that on Jeff´s head . well i hope we can see soon HD and complete videos. | |

Completely agree. I can't decide if it makes Mao look more like a clown (polka dots) or a string bean (tight white sleeves). The skirt is fun, though maybe difficult to skate in. - jkblues wrote:

I agree, Mao is looking much more expressive than ever! And I have a theory....humor me please? haha. I skated for over 10 years, and I have to say as much as I love this sport, singles skating is a very lonely, isolating activity. Often your demons are in your head, and in real life you're competing against your best friends (especially at the elite level such as Mao). Also, if your friends don't train with the same coach(es), you likely don't see them often. So really the ideal way to build a friendship is to find someone who spends as much time training and thinking about skating as you do, with the same coach(es), but also where there is no danger you will compete against (the Canton camp, and the growing Detroit FSC camp, are rather anomalies). In this case, Mao has Taka! (Well, they have each other. ) I think, for both of them, that this is a best-case scenario, completely outside of whether they are/end up dating or not, bc when you have friends to share your passions with, it's simply more fun. And honestly, it's a lot easier to learn or try new things when you're passionate and enjoying your skating and what you do every day. Not that TAT wasn't amazing and etc, I just think Mao has finally found a place/people she feels comfortable growing in/with, and the results are tremendous. Since Taka wore the same clothes as he was in airport, I think that was afternoon of that day. About the training together thing, I agree with you  Taka used to train with female skaters like Miki, and Yukari and those older sisters were taking care of him. Then here comes Mao, then he may aware that he need to be more responsible and start to take care of Mao. So training together makes both of them better. | |

| Could someone say when the broadcast starts?! And on which channel? Because the only chance for me to see it is with KeyHoleTV and probably it will be at night here in europe... Sunday, July 31st from 15:00 to 16:25 on Chukyo TV [中京テレビ]. I'm not sure if ChukyoTV will be available on KeyholeTV, though (I can't see it on the list right now). IIRC, last year we had to wait for Youtube videos or downloads from other websites.  | |

| Hi everyone! I've just came back from Osaka. Thanks god, I didn't have to spoil my ticket because of work. But, I had to leave when the finale dance started to catch my last train. It's disappointing, because my seat was on the front side, so I could've got a "love injection" from Mao at the finale.  The show was soooooo GREAT and GORGEOUS!! When Mao appeared under the spot light at the opening, she was stunning. It was such a great treat for me that she was just in front of me. Mao skated to the Jupiter. As people say, her expression changed a lot. She's shown us her new side. She landed 2A, 3L and 3F (? I may be wrong  ) so smooth and I thought the flow after landing was bigger. The show was full of wonderful performances and excitement. There was an announcement that the show will also be aired on Aug 7 on BS4. It will be 1.5 hours, so I think it will cover everyone's performances. I hope someone will post it on Yutube. P/T and D/W were super fantastic.  And Alissa! What a beautiful skater she is!  Hanyu fell 3A but landed a huge & gorgeous one later in boys' group program. I heard he did 4+3 at the noon show. I have to wake up early today so I have to take shower and go bed. I'm so confident Mao is fine!! And she's got some more time before her fast GP game starts. So she will be able to take a rest from this tour and make a good start for the new season. I wonder how her SP would look like and I'm really looking forward to her new version FP. As I really love Liebestraume, I'm eager to see a perfect masterpiece Liebestraume from her.  | |

Sort of like "So Deep is the Night" was an opera piece set to Chopin's Étude Op. 10, No. 3. In addition, Taka dressed as girl after finale as punishment since he lost costume twice during the ice tour ...lol

ETA:  I just did a Mao search on twitter. A few people have twitted about the kiss. It appears to be true. Someone posted that there were no TV cameras today. He/She even joked that Taka-chan probably knew about it. I guess, we won't be seing any footage of the kiss. Hopefully there will be photos! Another person twitted that Taka-chan tried to kiss Mao but she pushed him away and ran away from him. I wonder which one is true.  I think the kiss was true..lol...since someone also posted Mao's reaction is point finger at him like "we didn't plan that " but smiled at him. In addition, Taka also kiss Jeff on the lip when he was in drag...lol somehow it became punishment to Jeff. I also saw the comments about there is no camera from media and that is also why taka was dare to be in drag.
