| Thank you for taking the time to explain the meaning of my username, Spacey. You're so sweet.  I was getting stressed from school, but that truly made my day!  Yes, I always thought Mao radiated and gave this feeling of warmth when you watched her skate like the sun and even when didn't things go as planned for her there was still something remarkably beautiful yet sad almost nostalgic-like feeling about her as if you were watching a sunset. She also embodied everything about the "hi no maru" for me because she was the origin of my love for figure skating and the sun will always rise and persevere. And Mao is indeed anything but high maintenance. I checked out the A&F vest down she was wearing at the mall and it was marked down from $84 to $64 bucks- still not the cheapest for a commoner like myself, but reachable especially considering what my cousins in Japan have to pay if they're not shopping at UNIQLO or smaller low priced retailers. Not going to buy it though since A&F still has a long way to in becoming more diverse in their campaign and shop employees. * I remember that interview you were talking about having seven kids! It was with Kokubun Taichi and I was like  - you're going to be pregnant a good chunk of your life if you're serious. | |

| Well, it could be water, in some restaurants you get water in wine glasses (never understood why) and even if it is wine, I agree with ballerinamao. Come on, she is 21! There's nothing wrong with drinking an ocasional glass of wine (as long as you're legally old enough). | |

| zarinaballerina and ballerinamao, now that you've said that, I guess I do agree with you guys about the drinking. As long as she's careful, a little bit won't hurt. But just the idea of Mao drinking seems a little wierd, because I keep forgetting that Mao's not a child anymore. | |

Mao adores children. It is very obvious that she does. If I am not mistaken, she once said that she wanted to have seven children. She is so precious!
maowataiyo, I find Mao’s indifference to fashion very cute.
I am glad she is not a fashion victim flaunting Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada etc… She is an excellent role model. Someone her age normally can’t afford to buy such brands and her tastes are very age appropriate. She definitely needs to upgrade her wardrobe.
I hope she sticks to unique brands. She should avoid strapless dresses. She does not want to emphasize that area of her figure.
Mao should show off her broad shoulders and long legs. Maybe she should try a few Japanese designers. I am sure she can find something that is easy to pack. Or, she can ask her kimono sponsor to design her some formal dresses using kimono fabric. Well, that can be kind of tricky too. They may design some horrible dresses and she may feel obliged to wear them.
