| The Sato's (both father and daughter) athletes seem to be struggling this season. I hope we see them whatever issues they have this off season and get better next season: Mao, Taka, Jeremy, Adam, Alissa, Haruka...
Just watched Dai's program again. So sublime! Dai is just amazing! When will I ever be able to see him skate live?!? If he was able to pull a nationals-like skate here with a 4T-3T I wonder what score he'll get...
And Kanako's 3T-3T is awesome! I love that huge smile at the end!
Akiko -- *sigh* such a joy to watch! I love that she's finally getting high PCS that she deserves.
Gracie, she's got the jumps but she still needs to work more on presentation. Gotta give it to her though. She did really, really well in her senior debut in a packed arena no less.
Still waiting for videos of Carolina, Adelina and the others.
I miss Mao! Wondering if Mao was here what would be her jump content like and how will she be scored. I really, really hope she'll work on those 3-3s more rather than concentrate so much on the 3A. But given that her 3A was supposed to have improved in Japan, I'd have wanted to see it here in WTT and see if it has really improved or not. That said, I just hope she rests well, eats well (hopefully gain a bit more weight) reflect on what she wants and what she needs and come back next season renewed.

| Gracie's results so far bode very well for her senior GP debut later this year. and I'm sooooo glad that Dai set an (unofficial?) new world record on home ice that I feel like I can't even complain about PCS and such becuase it just feels so good to see him skate his best and get rewarded for it:love: but one question, I know it's late to ask, but how did Kanako qualify for this over Mao when Mao had better grand prix and nationals results? Was it solely because of Worlds? I'm a fan of Kana too and I'm thrilled that she's doing well here, but I was just wondering... | |

Thank you! Wow, how I hate that costume more and more every time I see it. And dear god, no wonder Adelina is struggling with the jumps! Her body, which was already a lot more grown up this fall than last year, did a complete 180 on her since the GP. She has a LOT more hips than before and her shoulders appear significantly wider as well. It's a wonder (and a testament of her hard work) that she still manages them as well as that. I hope she stays motivated and gets through it. It will stabilize eventually. I'm a bit surprised because I thought she would grow up to be built somewhat like Mao (before she lost weight for and after the Olys). Long, lean and a bit delicate looking... But it seems like she'll be a little more buff than that and her torso seems to have caught up with her legs and arms. She's hunching her shoulders and bending forward a lot here on transitions and steps, like she's constantly fighting to keep her edges and her balance because of her new center of gravity. That's gotta be tough. Keep pushing, bb, you're fantastic and you'll become even more so!

| Wonderful to know that Takahashi and Tran placed first in the Pairs SP and that Davis and White won the FD and the Ice Dance event! This season I really do prefer D/W over V/M. V/M's attitude this season is putting me off...
Now on to the men's free skate... Taka-chan and Dai-chan, がんばって!

| Taka fell on his quad, but considering his boot problems it was a great performance.
Davis/White's free dance is far superior to Virtue/Moir's. Funny Face is great, but it's missing something huge from it, while Die Fledermaus is just a masterpiece. I think this is the first time that the Americans have truly beaten the Canadians - every other time they have, it's because either Tessa was injured or because Scott fell or they made some dumb mistake. I'm glad that Davis and White are so consistent - it helps their case. All of this makes me really happy - it bodes well for next season.

I agree, I'm still trying to figure out what the judges were looking at in Nice, because D/W shouldn't have lost the free dance imo. roma I agree about their attitude, especially Scott's. I wonder how much of the friendship remained between these two couples after Scotts "lovely" comments at GPF. I'm trying to watch men's free, but the closer it gets for Daisuke to skate the worst my feed is getting. Same thing happened yesterday Though I know Patrick is going to win this no matter what, I still hope Daisuke will have an awesome skate! Go Daisuke, rock the house!

Dai received 2 x 10s in PE and a 10 in Interpretation. Yes!!! He got a "<" in his 3A+3T though but nvm... it means he can still score higher than this. Sooo happy!!! FINALLY! I just hope this means that the judging is finally going to be more fair next season and we won't be seeing Chan win a competition with 3 falls.

| Does anyone have any video links of Taka's FS? I read that although he still had technical problems, his performance was very expressive and like floating on the ice during the footwork sections. | |

| Quite honestly, Taka was underscored. He had one fall and singled a 3A, but that still deserved about a 160. | |
