| That's kind of sad... But it must be hard to train far from her family and friends and I understand her situation, it's a good decision I think, Mao and Mai will be happier near their family and friends! Good luck Mao for worlds!! | |

| on golden skate forum http://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20134&page=9Someone said that Fuji TV aired some practice of MAO! - Quote :
- Fuji TV sports news aired, 2 and a half hours ago, Mao practicing in the Chukyo rink. The reporter clearly stated that she's coachless. But Mao looked happy as usual, relaxed, saying she's now refining her elements and that she's very excited towards the Worlds. The nuance seemed to me that she can't wait till she displays on the ice of Scandinavium what she herself is making better now.
Does someone have video of it? | |

| i was wondering about this too. She looks happy in the video but also a bit worried at the end. I hope she does her best at worlds and is happy with w/e the outcome is. I'm rooting for her all the way! | |

| Just rewatched Mao's heavenly Free Skate from the Worlds-2007... Rafael was happy like some kid in the kiss-and-cry. I'll definitely miss that man. | |

| He definitely helped Mao a lot to develop as a skater - both in technical and mental/emotional sense. Great job, Rafael! | |
