I'm happy for Christina though. It's gonna be a tough field for her, but I hope she enjoys her first experience in GPF. (Because there may be more in the future! ;D)

I'm disappointed to hear the sad news about Julia. She's been on fire and making an exciting impression. What a horrible time to get an injury when she has all this momentum going. I hope it's not serious. I was looking forward to seeing her at this competition and how well she would do.

On the other hand, I am glad Christina gets to go. I think the judges gypped and underrated her. She deserved to be there in the first place as much as a lot of the other girls I think. Kind of a bittersweet situation here with Julia and Christina.

OMG...I hope her injury isn't that serious. I'm guessing she must've worked real hard to get ready for Finals...maybe a bit too hard. I don't want to see any young skaters over-working themselves into damaging themselves; we all know sometimes such cases can lead to early retirement, and I hate it when that happens to any skater.

As much as I prefer Gao's skating so far this season and would be happy to see her at Finals...there's been so many WDs due to injury or illness from some skaters, I've really had enough of that. I'm no special Julia supporter, but she has so much good skills and potential for her future, I sincerely hope her injury would heal asap and she can return to competing. Yep, Sadly

Note that IceNetwork is no longer streaming live - it's on-demand seven days after the event is over.

I am really surprised to hear yulia withdrew due to an injury, it justkind of amazing how many withdrawels there have been this season, anyway gao really skated an amazing program at her last gp, so i will be looking forward to see her skate again!

and Mao well i am dying out of excitement and anticipation to see Mao again, i hope she and Sato will have looked more closely at her issue, through i know they don't have much time, but i still hope they will figure it out until then, I really would love to see Mao give to clean skates at the gpf!

I'm not a fan of Yulia, but this really sucks for her. Hopefully it's nothing serious and she'll take enough time off to heal properly. On the other hand I'm really happy for Christina, it would be so amazing if she'd be able to get some judges love this time and not be screwed.

I'm so happy for Mao that she qualyfied for GPF, I'm hoping she'll be able to win it, but it's OK if she doesn't. She isn't an "early bloomer" (not to mention taking time off from training for 3 months) and whatever issues she has/had can't be solved in such a short time, so I'm hoping for an awesome SP and a LP with minimal mistakes. Can you guys imagine her LP score if she manages to skate to it with only 1 mistake?! It should be huge. Yep!

I can't wait however to see her at 4CC (hopefully with a 3-3). Many Hearts

Go Lena in juniors (I adore her) and Mao, Liza, Akiko and Christina in seniors!!! Cheering

You can see Akiko, Dai, Mao, Tatsuki and Yuzuru when they were novices.
Both Mao and Yuzu were 9 or 10 years old then. Wub
