There are only 6. That's Crone and Poirier's original standing. Smile

We'll see 'til before the final if there will still be other withdrawals.
I've read somewhere that Khokhlova has the flu that's why they withdrew, too? Is this confirmed?

Here's the schedule:
http://www.isuresults.com/events/GPF-09_TimeSchedule.pdf

Can anyone understand this schedule?
I'm having the hardest time trying to figure it out. pale
If someone can read this, could you please let me know when junior dance, senior dance, senior ladies and snior men are set to compete. I'm assuming this is in JST.
Thanks! Very Happy

(It's probably very simple but still for some reason I can't get it!)

I wonder who else is going to withdraw...

From what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong):

Senior OD : Thursday at 21:15
Senior FD: Friday at 20:50

Junior OD: Saturday at 13:30
Junior FD: Sunday at 12:30

Senior Ladies SP: Friday at 19:40
Senior Ladies FS: Saturday at 19:30

Senior Men SP: Friday at 18:30
Senior Men FS: Saturday at 18:00

It's somewhat weird that Senior Dance is before Junior Dance...

ETA: I feel sorry for Brian but... woohoo!!! Tomas in the GPF!!

Thank you so much!! I've been trying to figure it out for 3 days... Sweatdrop
I think it's unusual too. Then again, Skate Canada seemed strange to me when the only event scheduled for the third day was the FD. A lot of really strange timing this season. It all must work out somehow Surprised

Brian withdrew??!! Awww...Senior Grand Prix Final 2009 Icon_cry Hope he gets over his injury soon!

It seems that everyone gets injured around the Grand Prix Final, doesn't it? Suspect Last year too, a lot of people withdrew at the Final itself, right?

Too bad about the injury. It must be quite bad as it was reported he could see his bone. Ahh! pale

He seemed really excited to be in the GPF when he won NHK. But his surgery seemed like a success based on this twitter update so I hope he can get back to form in time for his other competitions.

Unfortunately I can't agree with you both. Although I am extremly sad that we won't see Mao and that she won't have an opportunity to defend her title, I think that being a replacement in last possible moment will be very hard for her. I think that right now she knows that she has to train and being disrupted will only make her more nervous. She has a one more month of trainings and mental healing and suddenly having to complete may only damage the work done so far.
And I don't even want to think what would happen if Mao had another one not satisfactory performance... No

I hope that Mao will be able to train and rest more and then come back stronger than ever at Japanese Nationals Cheering

well, OTOH, IF Mao somehow gets to go to the GPF at the last minute, she could have very little time to think about it n this could mean not having enough time to really mull over the situation n get nervous. And she would be under little pressure, I think, because people's expectations of her wouldn't be very high cuz this tends to be influenced by the latest results.

But this is only one side of the coin. The reverse could be just as probable... Smile

...but it's nice to dream...

It seems CCTV5 is going to show the competition. I've just found the CCTV5 stream at TV Ants. I hope it's a good one and that it'll be available during the GPF!

A member of fsvids.net posted following schedule:

CCTV5, GMT+8
DEC, 3 THU
15:55 - 17:13 LIVE (Junior) Pairs SP
19:30 - 21:30 LIVE (Senior) Pairs SP, Original Dance, (Junior)Men SP
DEC, 4 FRI
04:00 - 05:30 Recorded SA Pairs
08:35 - 10:10 Selection
15:35 - 16:58 LIVE (Junior) Pairs LP
19:30 - 21:30 LIVE (Senior) Free Dance, Ladies SP
DEC, 5 SAT
15:30 - 16:35 LIVE (Senior) Pairs LP
17:00 - 18:00 LIVE (Senior) Men LP
18:55 - 19:55 LIVE (Senior) Ladies LP
DEC, 6 SUN
17:30 - 18:00 LIVE Gala

However I am a little bit confused ... They are not going to show Men SP? The hours are also a litlle bit off when comparing with official schedule at ISU website. scratch
