Japan Open 2009 !!

Official broadcast dates have been announced~ Well, sort of.

Sep. 22: JO fluff on Mao 3:00 ~ 4:00 PM
Oct. 3: Japan Open 6:30 PM ~
Oct. 4: Carnival on Ice 4:00 PM ~

I'm not sure why the total air time of JO and CoI haven't been made public yet, but because of Japan's golden time slot (prime time) I'm expecting the broadcasts to run from 2 - 3 hours. Here's hoping the official site will update us with the TV schedule in the next week or so.

PML at the background music. Mao got "Mickey", which would be more suitable for Miki (it's even her old EX number ). Daisuke got Totentanz... Hellooo, this is Nobu's SP! And Nobu got Danse Macabre, probably because whoever was picking the music was not aware that "Dance of Death" in Japanese can be also translated to Totentanz...

It was very funny how we were complaining that no one can replace Sarah. How can we forget about Carolina?

I do hope she's going. Whoever is replacing Sarah only has a week to arrive in Japan and prep, so that's a bit of a tall order.

Kiira has a history of attending the JO so I'm inclined to think it will be her actually. She's going to have a hectic schedule if she is indeed Sarah's substitute, as the JO is right after Nebelhorn (but then again, Stephane is skating back-to-back as well with Nebelhorn-JO and he's slated to go, so...).

Omigosh! I'm so excited!

Oh! On the Japan Open fluff, Yukari appears doing a 3S+3Lo and a 3A! So amazing! I hope she can pull them off in competition!

I'd like to see Carolina replace Sarah.

Anyone know where those of us who live in the US, and other countries besides Japan can see the competition? I will settle for watching individule programs on YT if I have to, but I'd really like to see the whole thing.

I can't wait to see new programs! Especially from Mao! I am a bit dissapointed that Evan, and Marai won't be there now, but it's kind of cool for Bibi though. She doesn't get a whole lot of assignments like this. I wonder how much she's improved...

Nope. TV Tokyo has the broadcasting rights for the JO and CoI.

Thanks. It looks like those are live tv sites? I think I have to work when all of the airing times are! Anyone know what time zone they air in? Maybe that will make a big difference for me.

Japan is GMT +9 hours and if you're in WA, GMT -7 hours (usually -8 but we're in Daylight saving time... not that Japan doesn't use DST). If the show starts 6:30PM, Japan time, it's gonna be at 2:30AM for you (kinda sucks I know... It's 5:30AM for me...). I plan to be up though!! I wouldn't miss Mao's first appearance of the season for anything

According to her facebook, elena glebova just learned that she is going to japan open !!

I'm so happy for Elena! I hope she can do well and I hope she does her 3T+3T or 2A+3T combo!
