Yey! We'll see Mao compete earlier as she will be competing at Japan Open.
But I dunno what happened to Gracie. I thought she was supposed to compete at JO and now her spot is labeled as TBD. Team Europe also has one TBD for men.

I am extremely happy that she will compete!
But October 6 sounds so far...

She will be skating her new programs right?
Hopefully we get to hear what music she has chosen to skate!!! *_*

WOOOOW you just made my day, sssssssssooooooo happy to hear that Mao will parcitipate in JO, it means that we will get the chance to see Mao compete in one more competition

^I agree, I'm so happy that we'll get to see her new competitive programs a little earlier than we thought, it makes me eager for fall.

I am so happy that Mao is going to compete there! I can't wait for this to start.

I'm also glad that Elene got invited, I would just switch Alena with Liza and it would be perfect.
I wonder who the other european guy is going to be. Maybe Javi?

I hope Gracie isn't injured and just decided to pull out to have more time to prepare for her 1st GP assignment.

she is not on Japan Open website too and Elene's info was released at the same date.

ppl said should be Mao or Miki since both of them are IMG clients, the ladies spot of team Japan should be IMG client.

If I were JSF I would invite Mao, she's a HUGE star and audience loves her. Maybe Mao isn't sure if she wants to compete there and would rather prepare for gp instead.

I thought that IOC annoouncement had Mao on its roster for JO? Which one is the latest? Gosh! I was so excited already...

I don't think there is any formal announcement about that yet or there will be news or headline about that...because it's about Mao.
ppl saw the same link you shared and saying Mao is in but no news about that.
They did updated Elene's entry and CoI cast after then but they didn't put Mao in the list yet.
Hope they will confirm that soon but she may want to focus on GPS and the new season.

I don't want to frustrate you, but there is updated file from the same website.
They removed Pluchinko and Mao's name.
Maybe it's just because it's not confirmed yet.
The spot is TBD so let's wait and see then keep hoping.

omg. That's sad. I was so excited about Mao and I know I'm not the only one. Hopefully the last spot will be for Mao.

Hi everyone! I really hope to see Mao in a competition before the Grand Prix, too, Japan Open would be wonderful, but it's going to be a tough competition with Suzuki, Wagner and Leonova! Maybe something like Nebelhorn or Ondrej Nepela? It would be the first time (and she would easily win, I think)!

WHAT.... nooooo why, maybe it's not completly sure wheter Mao will attend yet! or maybe Mao would rather have a bit longer to prepare for this season

IMHO, Mao has no problem beating these 3 ladies, as long as she's in ok shape. She's much, much better then them.

I don't think Mao would attend competition like nebelhorn or ondrej nepela, but i am still crossing my fingers for japan open!

do you guys think that Mao this year only has one gala program, cause all we have heard is that lori will be doing her gala, but usuelly Mao has two programs, so could it be possible that Mao will be using the exhibition programs she hasn't used by tat, Iam thinking of the one program two years ago that Mao never really showed?

When Mao is consistently at her best again, she won't even have to worry about those skaters much. She is on another level when she is at her best. I don't know just how much more close Mao will be to her goal this season, but I guess we will just have to wait and see. I think probably by the end of the season is when all her hard work will really start showing. That's just my guess.
