105.03, into 3rd for now... But at least her PCS were good this time. I was worried the judges will score her lower than Alena and Ashley, PCS-wise.

Oh Mao What is going on with her at Worlds these past two years? She used to peak during this time but now it seems her peak stops at 4CC. I think her pre-Worlds training needs to be reassessed and she really needs to understand that when to not go for the 3A.

I don't know what happened to Mao, I mean she looked very good in practice,why?

Just saw Mao live...ughhh...I'm not sure what happened either! She looked tired...

It's okay, she tried her best! Poor Mao she looked so sad, cheer up little one!

Jumps were:
Axel - popped
3F-2L, slow going into the flip, not enough speed for a 3-3
3Lz - missed timing on the music and it looked flutzier than in the run-through
2A-popped toe
3F-2L-2L missed timing
3S - landed, I was surprised, I thought there was not enough speed
popped 3L

Something just wasn't right

I agree, IMO she needs to gain a bit weight... Did she plan 3A and popped it or was it a planned 2A? anyone knows?

I want Carolina or Akiko to win...

I should've just slept. I feel like crying... Nooo... Why? I was hoping for this program to be skated to its potential with all of Mao's ethereal qualities. Why? This is so heartbreaking.

Now I really root for Calorina to clean, I can't stand the fact that Leonova is world champion.

Ugh... now I actually hope Kostner wins this, because I don't think I can picture Leonova as the new World Champion.

We might not get to see Jupiter in the gala.

Does anyone think that maybe Taka having a not-so-good day made Mao depressed?

To be honest, there were external circumstances - the earthquake, Mao's mum illness and Mao's loss of weight due to stress last season, and Mao's mum passing away this season. I think she was probably desperately trying to make up for lost practice time and again, overtrained herself.

Still, she looked great yesterday morning. However, some fans mentioned that she started having troubles with her jumps in the evening - I thought she was just saving her strength for today, but maybe she already used up too much stamina or mildly injured herself...

Poor Kanako, too.
